These spicy little snacks are a slightly healthier version of the classic pub food. Instead of battering and frying the poppers, we broil them to get charred and bubbly. Try mixing up the filling flavours, try; feta and olives, or blue cheese and hot sauce. The beauty of these is that the only two important ingredients are the peppers and the cream cheese. You can even make plain poppers with these simple items.

Italian cuisine really lends itself well to an animal-product free diet. The only traditional ingredient that gets left out here are the anchovies which we can make up for with other briney flavours! I created this recipe with the entire Mediterranean in mind. Italy, Greece, North Africa will all be represented with their unique flavour profiles. Za'atar seasoning originally comes from Arab cuisine and is comprised of thyme, toasted sesame seeds, and ground sumac berries, which grow in the Mediterranean and parts of the Middle East, and have a tart, fruity flavour. The mix also includes all the classic 'Italian' herbs; oregano, marjoram, and savory. The herbs and spices play off the heat of the chili to give a nice biting warmth to this sauce. Za'atar is my favourite spice mix at the moment! Serve with your favourite pasta and top with flat leaf parsley, vegan Parmesan, or the real cheesy deal itself (dairy oh my!)!

This spiced sugar can be used in place of sugar in almost any recipe! I've selected a variety of exotic spices inspired by a cup of Indian chai, but feel free to mix it up for your personal taste! Try and use whole spices so that you can toast them and grind them yourself, much better flavours. One spice, ajowan gives a great peppery caraway taste, the others combine to form an exquisite, exotic aroma! I use white sugar so that the spices come through.

A slightly different take on a simple vegan upside down cake. I usually use some chia seeds as a binder for my vegan baking adventures, or flax seeds if you can't find chia. Sometimes I add a few drops of warm water to the chia to let them hydrate, they're an amazing egg substitute! The coconut oil and extra citrus give this cake a great tropical taste..yum! Sprinkle some turbinado sugar on the fruit if it's not ripe enough. Please make sure to mix up the spices or leave some out to your preference. I hope you Enjoy this yummy cake!
