    "Those who are passionate about brownies argue in defense of their favorite type, cakey or fudgey. If you're a cakey fan, go on to another recipe. These are the epitome of soft, dark baked-just-until-barely-set brownies. Their creamy texture makes them seem wildly luxurious and very much a treat to be meted out in small servings (just small enough for a scoop of ice cream and some chocolate sauce). The mixing method is unorthodox for a brownie. Half of an egg-sugar mixture is stirred into the melted chocolate and butter, while the other half is whipped until it thickens and doubles in volume. The lightened eggs are folded into the chocolate with a delicate touch, as are the dry ingredients--tricks that enhance the brownies' lovely texture."

    This is my sister-in-laws recipe. I have had great success with this dough. I use it immediately without waiting for it rise. This makes a nice chewy dough. Makes 2 large pizza crusts.

    -or Swedish Butter Cookies This is an old recipe shared by my neighbor. Her family calls them 'potato slices'. The cinnamon coated edge on the cookies look like potato skin. 'Mordeg' means, quite literally, 'tender dough' in Swedish. It is similar to a shortcrust dough. Usually it has flour, butter, sugar and egg. Very versatile. Kaka means cake or cookie. There is really no one word in Swedish, which can be directly translated to cookie. Well, maybe 'smakaka' (pl. smakakor) which means small cake or small cakes.

    *Use a good quality imported white chocolate like Lindt white bar, Bakers or Merkens white This cake has received rave reviews by many expert cake decorators. (Note: remember, this is the recipe that is supposed to make two 6" layers, but they overflow the pans, so I use it to make two 8" cakes and the layers are about 1 1/2" high)
