I got this recipe off the internet and the pitas came out soft and delicious, especially with homemade hummus! The only things is they took forever to rise because its so cold, so make these in summer or in a warm place. Also, the ziploc bags are so the pitas stay moist, because you don't want these pitas to have pockets, so after putting them in the ziploc bag, press down any pockets that may have formed.
This is from "Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar" by Isa Chandra Moskowitz & Terry Hope Romero. I love these cookies and no one will know they are dairy-free! They are baking right now in the oven. Mmmm.
I got this recipe from my new cookie cookbook called "Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar" and they came out addictive and delicious! The only thing I changed in the recipe is that I used all whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose, but you can use either. They aren't really sweet so not for everyone, but I love the spicy flavor--the only problem is that I eat way too many of them!
p.s. the longer you let them sit before baking, the more delicious they get!
Easy peasy and yummy for breakfast, lunch, or dinner & low in calories! I like to use Annie's Goddess Dressing but you can use whatever caesar you like. Makes one serving but you can of course make more than one wrap if you are making it for more than one person.
