    Couscous With Seven Vegetables
    Handle

This recipe is another Lucy Waverman recipe from Food and Drink Magazine. She says "It's good luck to have 7 vegetables in a CousCous Dish". Hmmm....maybe coriander is the 7th veggie? So I guess this will be a lucky recipe, enjoy! ;) Use vegetable stock to make this a vegetarian dish.

    Recipe #420654

    Select
    Spiced Vegetable Couscous
    Handle

This is a delicious one pot recipe for Couscous that I got from the Food and Drink Magazine, recipe by Lucy Waverman. It's a wonderful blend of flavours that my family really enjoys, I hope you do too! You can use vegetable stock if you'd like this recipe to be vegetarian. :)

    Recipe #420635

    Select
Mushroom Asparagus Risotto With Crisped Chicken
    Handle

I got this recipe from Food and Drink Magazine. It was created by Marilyn Bentz-Crowley, who says "This risotto is a delicious yin-yang combination of creamy rice and crispy chicken." An apt description! I love risotto :)

    Recipe #385386

    Select
    Curried Chicken Naan "taco"
    Handle

Imaginative fillings folded inside flat breads are popular (and delicious) all over the world. This is a new twist on an old favourite! Be sure to use the thicker, full fat coconut milk. I got this one from Food and Drink Magazine ;)

    Recipe #385384

    Select
    Old Mother Hubbard Weiner Casserole
    Handle

This is something my 9 year old and I came up with one night when we went to make dinner and the cupboard was bare! While certainly not gourmet food, it's a real kid pleaser, and I thought it wasn't too bad either. Quick and easy for a weeknight meal when you have little time and nothing thawed! Make it a little more zippy for adult tastes by adding cumin and chopped cilantro or a little curry if you'd like.

    Recipe #384690

    Select
    Bass Lake Fruit Smoothies
    Handle

This is my recipe for smoothies that I always use. We drank many of these while Holidaying at Bass Lake California, hence the name. My daughter loves these, and it's a great morning treat, especially before school, it helps get her moving! I let her choose what flavour she wants the night before, and bring it up to her while she's getting ready for School. The key is the vanilla yogourt, it gives it a great flavour.

    Recipe #382503

    Select
    Mushrooms With Spicy Spanish Sauce
    Handle

An intriguing dish to serve either as a first course or as a vegetarian main. This bold red sauce will add texture and flavour to the mushrooms. If king oyster mushrooms are not available, use a mixture of mushrooms that you like. Using anchovies as flavouring is an integral part of Spanish cooking. from Food and Drink Magazine, Lucy Waverman.

    Recipe #367509

    Select
    Mini Ice Cream Daiquiri Surprise
    Handle

These little desserts have a surprise of crunchy frozen strawberries in them to keep you cool while enjoying the summer heat. Use spiced rum to give added kick to these little creamy delights. From Food and Drink Magazine. I love that magazine!! :) Cook time is Chill time.

    Recipe #367508

    Select
    Onion, Olive and Orange Salad
    Handle

Looking for something different? This is a very pretty salad, delicious too! From Food and Drink Magazine.

    Recipe #367498

    Select
BBQ Chili Drumsticks With Avocado & Tomato Salsa
    Handle

Lately I've had a craving for Mexican/Central/South American Food. I found this at the Chicken Farmers Website, and it looks delicious. For a complete meal, serve with Gallo Pinto, or Black Beans with Rice.

    Recipe #357265

    Select
    Chicken Indian-Style in a Hurry
    Handle

I found this recipe on the chicken farmers website, and I thought it looked terrific! I haven't tried it yet, just putting it here for safe keeping. I love all of these ingredients, so I'm sure it will taste great. Interesting that it's done in the microwave!

    Recipe #357058

    Select
Lime Chicken Linguine W/Cilantro Cream Sauce & Roasted Zucch
    Handle

My husband made this for dinner last night, I don't know where he got the recipe, but man....it was like eating in a 5 star restaurant! Don't let all the steps and ingredients scare you off, this recipe is for the entire meal! The flavour reminded me of being in Costa Rica :) Prep time is marinating time

    Recipe #356694

    Select
    Delicious Salsa Verde
    Handle

Give pasta and meat dishes an extra boost by serving this fun and flavorful sauce. It is also a perfect sauce to serve with Recipe #356603. From Family Fun Magazine

    Recipe #356610

    Select
    Twice Fried Plantains
    Handle

Plantains are a member of the banana family, but catch them a little before they are ripe and they become a kid pleasing savory snack similar to French Fries. My 8 year old loved these, so we were pleasantly surprised when she gobbled them up. My daughter likes these sans sauce, but my Husband and I love them with Recipe #356610 This recipe is from Family Fun Magazine. Don't let all the steps scare you, they are very easy to make!

    Recipe #356603

    Select
    "sannich" in Soup
    Handle

This recipe is from Food and Drink magazine, and it's really delicious! Comments from the magazine: Elegant French onion soup becomes hip with this gooey grilled-cheese "sannich" Australian slang for sandwich;slid into the bowl. For onions, choose sweet varieties such as large Spanish or red, as they caramelize well. And if Swiss cheeses are not favourites, medium or old cheddar is a delicious stand-in. Be warned, most purchased broths are quite salty, so season only after the soup is finished.

    Recipe #334501

    Select
Clare's World's Very Best Triple Chocolate Cake
    Handle

This recipe was given to my Husband from our friend, who got it from her friend Clare. He had to beg for it! It is without a doubt the richest, most decadent and delicious cake I have ever tried. Kiss your low fat diet goodbye. It's easy to make and will impress any chocolate lover :)

    Recipe #323993

    Select
    Four-Cheese Macaroni With Curry Crunch
    Handle

A touch of spicy curry flavour is a surprisingly terrific match for cheesy pasta. Do try the four cheeses below (though you can also use up bits of cheese lingering in your refrigerator). In either case, be sure to use the goat cheese for luscious creaminess. For variety, stir in sliced mushrooms or chopped broccoli. Stolen with love from Marilyn Bentz-Crowley at Food and Drink Magazine.

    Recipe #323051

    Select
    Amarula Swizzler
    Handle

Delicious drink that could double as dessert! I love Amarula and this is like a grown up milkshake.....yummo! Got this one from Food and Drink magazine.

    Recipe #322556

    Select
    Tortino
    Handle

A tortino is like an oven-baked frittata. It is easy to prepare and makes a good supper or lunch dish served on its own. The vegetables used can vary with the seasons. This is another Lucy Waverman recipe from Food and Drink.

    Recipe #322554

    Select
    Salmon on Fennel Salad
    Handle

This zesty salad complements salmon’s richness while almonds add crunch. The fish can be served hot or cold as a light main course. To serve it as a hearty starter for a meal, cut fish fillets in half lengthwise before grilling. If serving salmon cold, grill right away. If serving hot, make salad first.
