    Recipe #169631

Taken from the Backwoods Home magazine.

    Recipe #169630

Taken from the Backwoods Home magazine. I recently made this as per directions. However, after using it I decided to cook it and add a tad more sugar, we liked it better this way. So, I have added the sugar amount to include the addition of more sugar. I would also encourage anyone who makes this to use a lime that does not have alot of pith. I used a regular lime this time, but would use a key lime next time. All in all I would make this again, however, it does not replace plain ol jellied cranberry sauce according to my daughter.

    Recipe #169620

This is a recipe that my mom perfected years ago. I made her write it down so that I could duplicate it. She gives me directions like mayo 1/2" above label of quart jar. Well Best Foods has changed their jars from quarts 32 oz. to a 30 oz. jar, the chumps. So I had to measure everything out, wanted to do it anyways so I could post it here for safe keeping. Have taken this to many BBQ's and I always come home with an empty bowl. The sauce should be very salty tasting, if not add more season salt. If you want more color add more paprika. You can decorate the top with a sliced hardboiled egg, parsley and paprika if you want a nice presentation. This needs to sit for a minimum of 4 hours for the flavors to blend. I just noticed that Beau Monde Seasoning is not showing up, it's the the missing ingredient for the tablespoon. Edited 7/13/09 to reviewer that does not take zmails. YES THE DOZEN EGGS IS CORRECT.

    Recipe #169093

Featured in Chet Day Healthy Beef Recipes Newsletter, May 6, 2006. Sounds easy and good, that's my kind of recipe. I can see adding more spices so adjust to your tastes, as I'll adjust to mine. Enjoy! :)shirley(:

    Recipe #166947

Easy to make, not alot of ingredients and a dessert that children can do.

    Recipe #165268

I am on the search for recipes to make with beets, as I will be growing them this year. This one caught my eye because of the Grand Marnier, there is a note on the recipe card that has Triple Sec in quotes.

    Recipe #165263

Handwritten on yellowed index card. Author unknown :( I would think it should marinate atleast 4 pounds of steak. If you should find out different please let me know. Cook time is marinating time :)shirley(:

    Recipe #165252

On a yellowed card with the title of "Betty's Chile", just ingredients no directions so toss everything in a pot and cook. Don't know who Betty is, but I want to thank her for this easy recipe that can be whipped up very quickly with things on hand. Not a fire and brimstone chile, just a simple chile that kids and adults can eat. :)shirley(:

    Recipe #165142

Written on a very yellowed and tattered piece of paper. Have no idea where it came from and have not tried it yet. Posting to save and for you. It does not call for a type of bread and I'm sure that that would make or break this dish. Think I will try with a nice sourdough, but will let sit for an hour or so in the refrigerator to soak before baking.

There are alot of swedish meatball recipes but none of them are made with gingersnaps. These are from a garage sale recipe box that my mother picked up. I have not tried yet but am posting here to save so I can try. Hope if you try them you enjoy them. Shirley

    Recipe #163319

This casserole uses the dried chinese chow mein noodles you get in a can. A different but nicely flavored dish. Could be used as a main dish or a side. This is my second posting for a seafood dish, thinking I need to make a visit to the coast, enjoy! Shirley

    Recipe #163113

This is a decadent stew that is loaded with seafood. From the Monterey coast in California famous for seafood. Serve with a crusty bread to soak up the juices. Passive time includes marinate time.

    Recipe #163097

Found this in a recipe box that my mother buys at garage sales. Have not tried it yet, but it sounds good and want to post here so I don't lose it. That and the paper it is written on is very thin and fading. Simple basic meal of potatoes and meat, enjoy.

    Recipe #163094

This is going to be the first recipe I make in my pressure cooker. Looks like a good combination of ingredients. Hope you and I like it. From Joanna White "This is an absolutely delicious chicken recipe, but depending on the type of jam used, it can take on a very dark color. Enhance the appearance by garnishing with fine shreds of orange zest."

    Recipe #160498

Putting this recipe here to save. Plan on planting beets in the garden this spring. These sound interesting, let me know if you try them.
