This recipe evolved from a basic creamed ham recipe and I keep it in my "what to do with leftover....." file. When I have some hard boiled eggs to use up, I vary the recipe based on what's in the fridge at the time. It's really easy and comes together fast, especially if you measure out the ingredients first and have it all ready to go.
When I'm making chicken wings I often try several different recipes using one 5 lb bag of wings. This recipe is what I normally use for my baby back ribs but thought- why not try it on chicken! The result was flavorful, sticky, yummy wings. The recipe is written for one serving (6 wings) since I used the rest of the wings to try other Recipezaar recipes with.
I grew up in Provincetown MA and used to order the tuna fish sammie from a little cafe next to the New Art Cinema (where I worked as a teen). This recipe was inspired by that simple little sandwich with my own little twist.
Saw this on Rachel Ray and had to try it. Great way to use up leftover ham. Broccoli can be swapped out for the asparagus, which is what I will use the next time I make it! Looks beautiful coming out of the oven too. Ingredient measurements are approximate as it depends on the size of your pan/tastes etc.
I usually get a package of pork loin with the two loins. This is my easy recipe for tonights dinner and freezer ready meal for later. I serve with mashed potato and carrots to keep the side dishes simple. Watch the pan juices while cooking and add a little water as needed for the gravy. Prep time includes marinating
My mom, an excellent cook, was visiting from CA and wanted to make a potato salad for a cookout just using what I had on hand. This is her creative version that got rave reviews from the family. I forced her to write down what amounts she used so its a loose version based on what she could remember!
Stretching our budget I purchased half a ham and had to make it last...Threw it in the freezer until inspiration hit me. With a few easy steps I was able to stretch it three ways! Ham dinner, ham and beans, and ham salad for yummy sammies. All measurements are estimates since I am too lazy to be precise...
Payday is far away and I need to use up whats left in the pantry. I didn't measure anything so the measurements are a guess but this turned out to be a fantastic chicken salad in a pita! Who doesn't love easy and cheap!Oh, and dates are always in my pantry since they are great on salad and the kids love them!
I have had this recipe for years. I take half the 4lb bag of thighs and save for other use then I throw this marinade right into bag with remaining thighs. Back into freezer it goes. When ready to use I let the whole bag thaw in fridge overnight in the marinade. The following night my chicken is marinaded and ready to go on grill!
One day while making stuffing for mushrooms I had way too much stuffing leftover. I started throwing other things in the bowl and came up with something really good! I cook by eye so my measurements are guesstimates. Please try it and let me know what you think!
These have to marinate overnight to let the flavors meld. They are so worth the time. This is another recipe I learned when I was knee-high to the microwave. Most of the ingredients you already have in the cupboard ('cept buttermilk)Please try it and let me know your thoughts!
This was one of the first recipes I ever made when I was knee-high to a microwave. That was so long ago I don't remember how I came across the recipe! These are the sweeter version of traditional baked beans. So easy to do and I would love to know your reviews too!
I combined two different recipes and tweaked here and there. I can't remember where they originally came from. The cod will taste just like lobster! It melts in your mouth. This is a family favorite and ask for it every week. This is not a low-calorie dish so beware!!
