A easy and delicious dish. I make it often. A friend of mine, with 4 boys, makes it once a week. I hope you like it! I have also made it from all shelf stable ingredients, except the cheese. Just use dehydrated onions and canned beef.
This is one of my "get it on the table fast" recipes. It is especially fast if you already have the ground beef cooked. I like to cook about 10 pounds in one day, then bag and freeze in 2 cup freezer bags. It saves so much time and we actually eat at home more; which saves money and gives us that all important family time.
Yet another version. We love this recipe. My kids especially like it because it doesn't have any "weird" stuff in it. It makes enough for 2 dinners. I especially like this particular recipe because most of the ingredients are pantry staples. The only "fresh" items being the chopped turkey and butter. I have also used canned turkey or chicken and it still tastes great. Great to make ahead and freeze or keep in fridge until baking.
