I got this recipe from a friend at church. She used to bring this pie to potlucks and it was always eaten up quickly. The combination of tart gooseberries and sweet caramel icing is irresistably delicious!!

    Recipe #498397

I found this recipe in the Columbus Community Columbus Missouri Association cookbook. It was submitted by Christie Wilson of Warrensburg, MO. It's my family's favorite recipe for banana bread as it uses no vegetable oil. It's quick and easy to mix up, and comes out moist and delicious every time. Baking time is approximate as oven temperatures vary.

    Recipe #396888

Taken from Favorite Lake City Recipes as submitted by C. E. Keith, Bldg. 3. This is a family favorite. We usually serve them on hamburger buns as a sandwich. I think the flavor has gone through them even better by the next day, but in order to have any left to enjoy the next day, I have to increase the recipe by 3-4 times.

    Recipe #286991

This is another recipe from the Favorite Lake City Recipes cookbook. The recipe was submitted by my mother, Mrs. Denver P. Petre, Bldg. 3. It is one of my childhood favorites. The meat is so tender it literally falls apart and the taste is wonderful! Served with mashed potatoes and some green beans or your favorite vegetable and you have one of my favorite "comfort meals." *You may use 1 1/2 cups water and 1 more beef bouillon cube instead of beer.

    Recipe #286986

This recipe is from Favorite Lake City Recipes, a cookbook from the Army ammunition plant my husband works for. It was submitted by Mrs. Charles P. Longgood, Bldg. 1. It's become a family favorite and has been requested for Christmas dinner for several years now. I prefer using a spiral-cut ham as the flavor really gets into it better. Southern Comfort is my whiskey of choice, and I use either sliced or chunk pineapple.

    Recipe #286975

This is another family recipe handed down through the generations. This recipe calls for dates instead of raisins which is nice for those who don't care for raisins. This is a nice spice cookie perfect for fall baking.

    Recipe #194702

This recipe came from my aunt who is an awesome cook, just like my mom. It's a great way to prepare a cheaper cut of meat and still have something that's tasty and tender. My aunt's note on this is: "I dice my onion, tomato and bell pepper and use as much as I want. I also divide the sauce mixture evenly between the 4 steaks." Either way, it's delicious!

    Recipe #194699

I got this recipe from a friend who was on the First Place diet at her church. It's so easy and delicious! The kids love it to snack on especially when good apples are in season!
