This is my revised recipe for mac n cheese. It's super simple and very delicious! I like to add bits of grilled chicken or cooked bacon before baking for some added protein and flavor! This is easily doubled for larger crowds.
This is my mother-in-law's recipe, and one of my husband's favorite meals! It is a warm and delicious comfort food casserole.
Note: Using the blue package of Herb Seasoned Pepperidge Farm stuffing is a MUST! It sets up the whole flavor of the meal. If you are trying to clear out the cupboard or are unable to get the blue package, then you'll need to use two of the standard sized boxes (8 oz.) of stuffing, preferably herb seasoned.
My husband and I had been eating nothing but baked and mashed potatoes (we live in Idaho), so I decided to try potatoes a different way. This warm salad is a HUGE hit with my sour cream-and-bacon-loving husband! It goes great with grilled chicken, steak, or burgers. Using a crock pot makes it easy and convenient! It's a hit for a main dish! (This recipe can also be made using any kind of roast. Just use enough cola to cover, or almost cover, the meat.)
