Water chestnuts wrapped in bacon with a yummy tasting sauce. Easy enough to make and good dish to take to potlucks.

    Recipe #399298

This is a microwave recipe but could also be made on top of the stove. Easy and delicious served over rice or noodles.

    Recipe #398782

This is a microwave recipe. I have not made this yet but am putting it here for safe keeping.

    Recipe #398771

This is a crock pot dish but can be made on top of the stove as well. Even the pickiest eaters should find something to eat in this dish which contains beef, pork, chicken and sausage.

    Recipe #398762

This is a real tasty dish for company or special occasions. It's probably not something you would make everyday for your family as it takes awhile to get it all cooked and put together.

    Recipe #398718

This is the chili I remember eating as a child before microwaves were invented. This can be made in the microwave in about 30 min. but I prefer making it on the stove and then simmering it for an hour or so. The oregano is optional, I myself do not use it. Serve what you need then freeze the rest. For quick defrosting and heating, divide into single servings and package in shallow freezer boxes or heat seal-able bags.

    Recipe #398719

These are great dry rubs to try before you go out and buy the whole bottle and then find out you don't like them. Most of these ingredients are already in your cupboard. I keep all my old spice jars, wash, remove label and reuse for recipes like these. Dry rubs do not need standing time but can be applied several hours in advance if kept refrigerated. The flavors become more pronounced the longer the rub is on the meat. I prefer sprinkling on and then letting sit out at room temperature for about 15 min.

    Recipe #397923

Simple ingredients, sandwiched between a sugar and nut crunch.Decorate with strawberries and mint if desired. The prep time does not included the 8 hours or more needed to freeze this recipe.

    Recipe #397199

One thing nice about rhubarb is that once you make it into a tasty dessert, pie or cake most people don't even know they are eating rhubarb.

    Recipe #395436

Don't have time to make a pie crust? Then you might want to try this fast making, crunchy topping, apple pie. I had to put down an amount of apples but use as many as it takes to fill your pie tin.You could also just use a can of apple pie filling. Good plain or with a scoop of ice-cream or cream whip on top before you serve it.

    Recipe #395408

A nice combination of rhubarb and strawberries and strawberry preserves to glaze the top of the pie when it is finished baking.

    Recipe #395393

I cut this out of our local newspaper some years back. It takes a little while to put together but well worth it.

    Recipe #395360

This is a simple but tasty chicken salad.

    Recipe #393833

I got this recipe from my sister -in-law. She makes her own sauerkraut which of course is 100 times better than the can stuff. This is a great potluck recipe.

    Recipe #393519

This recipe came out of my Rival crock pot recipe book. This is a great recipe for using up left over meats. You can use ground beef, left over roast or steak. This can also be made on the stove, just simmer for 3-4 hours. Using MSG is optional but I use it because I think it adds a lot of flavor. Now if you want to make this soup even yummier try using vegetables right out of the garden. All I had fresh in my garden this year was tomatoes and boy what a difference that even made.

    Recipe #393511

This recipe is pretty much like everyone's else except I use evaporated milk and half & half. Easy enough to make and taste pretty darn good on top of it.

    Recipe #393505

I got this recipe back in the 90's when I was a home health care giver to the elderly. This one lady had me make this a lot for her.

    Recipe #393490

If you're looking for a good tasting, not all that fancy but fancy enough to serve company or take to a potluck this is the recipe. This recipe must be refrigerated overnight and do not use any other brand of mayonnaise except Hellman's. Skipping these two steps does make a difference. Make sure ingredients are sealed in good with the mayonnaise.

    Recipe #393489

Simple, fast and easy to make. Great for potlucks. You can use either a jar of coleslaw dressing or make your own dressing. You could add crispy bacon bits right before serving. You can substitute cauliflower for broccoli or use both. With the picture I submitted I used cauliflower and Marzetti slaw dressing. The cauliflower gave it the crunch and grapes gave it a nice sweet taste.

    Recipe #393459

Please do not use any other brand but Bush's Baked Beans. It just will not taste the same. This makes a wonderful potluck dish.
