This bread is very good! A light and somewhat spicey gingerbread. The house smell good while baking. One of the ingredients is tea. I thought an orange spice tea would be nice but for me it took away from the fresh orange rind and juice. I would recommend using something else. I might try using a green tea next. The recipe also calls for molasses but I used honey instead. I think the honey made it less sweet but still very good.

    Recipe #453732

This quick bread is healthy and delicious! Serve it with your favorite tea or coffee. You can cut the sugar in half if you like..

I love chicken tortilla soup. After eating it several times at one of my favorite restaurants I decided to make it myself. This is the recipe I came up with. In this recipe the measurements are not exact as I tend to not measure. It's based on my taste buds. Feel free to add or lessen to make it suitable for your taste buds.

I made these cookies with my mom when I was young. My daughter and I now make these every year for Christmas keeping the tradition going. This recipe comes out of a darling cookbook dated 1947 called Best Loved Foods of Christmas. The pictures and graphics are so adorable. Baking the cookies isn't always the fun part but the decorating is a blast! My daughter asks me every year about SUMMER time Mom, can we make Cutout cookies again this year LOL! I always say YES most certainly! The time it takes to make these is worth the time. If you share these with others you will get so many compliments! When I make these I break it up into a 2 day job. First day we bake the cookies and next day we decorate. These cookies also store well. I store them in a big air tight plastic container. Anyways have a blast making these. Your children or Grandchildren will grow up having fond memories of you and them baking these as I do with my Mother!

    Recipe #392135

This is the recipe that goes with the Mushroom Walnut loaf. However you can also serve this with steamed vegetables or brown rice or whatever you like.

    Recipe #390795

I was a vegetarian about 10 years ago and I was always trying to find good creative vegetarian dishes. My husband took me to this vegetarian restaurant called The Spot in Hermosa Bch., CA. The food there was AWESOME! They had a cookbook and I bought it! This is one of the recipes in it. I made it years ago and it was FAB! Serve this with the Mushroom Walnut Gravy that I will post next. You don't have to be vegertarian to enjoy this dish! Actually I prefer this over regular meatloaf. =)

    Recipe #390775

I have been baking this bread for over 20 years. I'm not sure where I got the recipe from but its a KEEPER! It is very moist and makes the house smell like AUTUMN. This recipe makes 2 loaves.

My mother used to make this banana bread for us often. I have fond memories of waking up in the morning to smelling mom's homemade banana bread baking in the oven on a cold rainy day...AHHHH!!! She would cut off a big slice and place it on a napkin and off to school I went with a WARM piece of mom's LOVING homemade Banana Bread! I seached here to see if anyone else had the same recipe and I noticed that my mom's recipe has one ingredient different from everyone elses and I think it is the secret ingredient why my mom's recipe is Simply the Best Above All the Rest Banana Bread! Here is the recipe In Loving Memory of My Mother who passed away May 31, 2009...Mom I Love you thanks for the fond memories!!!

    Recipe #389737

    Recipe #388353

Recipe from my local paper. Calls for boneless chicken thighs but you could also use boneless chicken breast. Serve this over greens or a bed of steamed rice.

    Recipe #475836

Here is a much healthier recipe for jalapeno poppers. The peppers are stuffed with mushrooms, zucchini, corn and manchego cheese. These poppers get baked in the oven. Wouldn't these be nice to serve out by the pool with a margarita. Yum! I think yes!

    Recipe #432632

Here's a quick and healthy breakfast to go idea. Also nice for an afternoon snack. If you wanted to you could also sprinkle some granola on top. I like to use honey wheat bagels but plain is good too.

    Recipe #417043

A great recipe that I found in my Cooking Light magazine. These cookies are very yummy. I was thinking about adding some chopped pecans next time. You know, to give them more fiber and make them more healthy! Yea, right! LOL! Actually they're not to bad. Everything in moderation. Enjoy!

    Recipe #417038

This recipe comes from Cooking Light magazine. Just in time for St. Patrick's Day! This dish is more authentic than the traditional corned beef and cabbage that we eat here. The Irish bacon is also leaner than American bacon Please keep the recipe authentic and do not substitute the boiling bacon for American bacon because the recipe will not turn out right.

    Recipe #416580

This recipe comes from a C & H sugar advertisement. I thought this would make nice gifts for Christmas. You could make a nice gift basket by adding a loofah, some pretty smelling soaps and maybe some lotion. Whatever else you can think of!

    Recipe #403079

I just saw this recipe in my Sunset magazine and wanted to post it for safe keeping. I make a lot of soup in the winter time and I'm always looking for new recipes. This soup looks really good. I can't wait to try it. The recipe calls for chicken broth but if you want to make it a vegetarian soup you could easily use Vegetable broth instead.
