Chocolate syrup for the masses can be purchased economically in the grocery stores. Skip this recipe if you are unwilling to follow directions....

    Recipe #250586

A lot of recipes call for cans of stock, bullion cubes, and other barely palatable shortcuts. This recipe raises the bar without having to spend eighteen hours in the kitchen. The first step is a visit to where if you buy their beef and chicken concentrated bases, you will never buy another can of broth. (No, I don't own stock in the company.) If you can obtain sweet onions such as Vidalia, stick with dry white wine. The sweetness in soup like this should come from the carrot, the onions, and the wine - NOT added sugar. (Although there's no accounting for taste...)

    Recipe #210216

I have been “evolving” this recipe for a couple of years as an alternative to the standard (mostly boring) chili that gets presented in the yearly cookoff. This IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!!!! Nevertheless, it is eminently edible in this configuration. I’m still developing it (sliced mushrooms added last time, OK, but just cluttered up the effect.) Next time maybe I’ll chunk the onion instead of dice, or substitute eggplant for some of the bell pepper. You will notice there is neither salt nor pepper in this recipe – you won't need any!

    Recipe #197425

WARNING: Do NOT make this without Panko. Ordinary bread crumbs or corn flake crumbs just don't work. Sauce can be made days ahead if desired. A great appetizer, it may be a little rich for a main course.

    Recipe #193725

Like the Nectar of the Gods, these simple delights are sublime. (Don't believe the "one hundred" parts of this recipe. It's so simple that the website program won't accept plain old simple. Use what you want for what you like.)

    Recipe #159560

The chef at Spanish Springs Ranch in remote northeastern California gave me this great salsa recipe. It can be used as made, or serve as a base for a myriad of add-ons.
