I had some cooked beans, so I thought I would try my hand at making burgers. Unfortunately, the cupboard was bare. This was a "What the heck do I have to make supper with?" dish. So some creative thinking was involved. Next time onions and perhaps spinach would help with the flavor. Any Beans will work. These come out moist, not like a meat burgers. I cook very low sodium because of health issues. But if you want to add salt you could. Preparation time, does not included the cooking of the beans

I was in a middle of another dessert recipe when I discovered a main ingredient, that could not be substituted was gone! I swear I bought it! Then the bowl broke, and other disasters. This is what happened. Turned out good. Cooking time is chilling time.

The original recipe was for pork tenderloins, If you use them, increase the cooking time by an hour. My son thought these were the best ever, and he hates onions.

    Recipe #290472

After a few experiments with my first attempt at a tea base sauce (recipe: 285505). I came up with a base, that I have been using in a few types of sauces and dressings. My main reason for doing this is so we can have low sodium choices in our house.

    Recipe #287760

My husband was put on a very low sodium diet. Among a few things he misses is Soy Sauce. This is a replacement sauce for him. It does not taste at all like Soy sauce, but adds flavor. I have tried it with hot pepper flakes added as well, if you want more spice.

    Recipe #285505

Inspired by more than a few fruit salsa recipes on this site, I wanted to make my own. But I am a lazy cook, so this was my solution. You can use sugar and brown sugar if you want. Great as a dip with ginger snaps, or poured over pancakes.

    Recipe #267938

I could not find the exact recipe I wanted, so I combined a few to make this dip for my son's party. It is think, so regular potato chips do not stand up too well. Vegetables and crackers work the best. We served in a hollowed out round bread.

    Recipe #260617

Easy to take to work, just throw everything into a large ziploc bag. I like vinegar, so it might be a bit strong for some.

    Recipe #151194

I threw this together one night for dinner, and that's what my husband called it. It's a throw in the oven and forget meal.
