This is my variation of the Power Soup published in the Jan 2014 edition of "Relish."

    Recipe #514073

This was in the January 2014 "Better Homes & Gardens" issue, page 70. I wanted to save the recipe but not the magazine. :)

    Recipe #511618

This is a recipe that doesn't require tahiti sauce (hard to find in our little small town grocery store). It was featured in the Jan 2014 issue of "Better Homes and Gardens," page 74.

    Recipe #511614

This was in the Jan 2014 issue of "Better Homes & Gardens," page 73. I wanted to keep the recipe but not the magazine, so I'm posting it here.

    Recipe #511613

This recipe calls for Batch 19 lager, but you could probably use any sort of lager to get the taste.

    Recipe #510026

This is from the November 2013 issue of "Guideposts" magazine. Delicious blend of fall flavors! This would be a wonderful fall dessert if served warm with vanilla ice cream.

    Recipe #510022

This is the recipe given to me by my preacher's wife - I need to post it here so I don't lose it!

    Recipe #506462

This is from the August 2013 issue of Good Housekeeping, page 57. Publishing here for safe keeping! I don't use an ice cream maker because I don't have one - just pouring into smaller containers and stirring often.

    Recipe #504198

This is a recipe from a friend at my mom's Ladies Aid meeting. They're so light and crispy - the best homemade crackers I've had!

    Recipe #502935

A creamy, meaty, mushroom bake that is quick to whip up, freeze for busy nights, or something to take to a pot-luck.

    Recipe #502628

This is from the September 2012 issue of "Guideposts" (the Reba issue!) and I didn't want to lose it. It says the sauce doubles as a side dish, plus you can freeze the leftovers for another meal. :)

    Recipe #494069

This is from the Oct 2012 edition of "Relish" - similar to another I've seen, but without the heavy cream or cream cheese (less fat!). I'm adding here for safe keeping! This is a delicious way to use up our kids' pumpkins (they don't mind when they get to enjoy the frozen yogurt!) and reminds me of the cinnamon ice cream served at our favorite Mexican restaurant.

    Recipe #489576

No yeast, no rise time, and no canned rolls make these homemade sticky buns a fast family favorite! From the Oct 2012 edition of "Relish" magazine - adding here for safe keeping! I didn't have pure maple syrup on hand so I used regular pancake syrup and they were still delicious!

    Recipe #489571

This was from Shine on Yahoo! and I didn't want to lose the recipe! It was adapted from Baking at Home with the Culinary Institute of America, according to the website. They claim the key to the moist, chewy cookies is to use high-fat butter (such as a European variety) and refrigerate them overnight, so this is not something you'll whip up and enjoy on a rainy afternoon. :) I'll have to plan ahead.

    Recipe #487044

This was published in the September 2012 Ladies' Home Journal and I didn't want to lose the recipe! Fast and easy meal, especially when serving a large group of people.

    Recipe #485686

This was published in Ladies' Home Journal Sept 2012 issue and I wanted to get it into so I wouldn't lose the recipe!

    Recipe #485681

This was sent by a friend who described it as chocolatey and silky. If I can get my kids to eat zucchini without complaining about it, I'm game!

    Recipe #485523

This was featured in the April 2012 issue of "Reader's Digest." I wanted to add it to so I wouldn't lose it! It is part of their Digest Diet feature. Here are the nutritional facts given in the article: (per 2-wedge serving): 341 calories, 17 g protein, 13 g fat (5 g saturated), 10 g fiber, 296 mg calcium, 10 mg vitamin C, 44 g carbohydrate, 603 mg sodium. As mentioned in the printed article, you can substitute cottage cheese for the ricotta if you puree it in a food processor for a minute. Also, using pre-made whole wheat crust gives you a faster and healthy option.

    Recipe #477865

This is a modified version of the Polish Apple Pancakes found here on My kids devoured these and clamour for more - a fantastic, warm and delicious way to kick off a weekend or holiday. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do! (I substituted applesauce for the oil in the original recipe, then used the remaining applesauce as a topping on the pancakes in place of syrup.)

    Recipe #477785

This is from the National Pork Board and is one of our family favorites.
