When my girls were young, they could not eat a taco without breaking the shell and having a mess! I started making them pita bread sandwiches and they loved them. Adults like them also. Very easy and a quick meal on weekdays when time is short.
This is the BEST !!!My mother-in-law gave me a copy of this 30 years ago. She has since passed but I was lucky to have gotten the recipe from her. It is great on chicken or spareribs, anything for that matter.
Another family favorite that is always made for any gathering! Even though my sisters, brother and I love to cook, we still like to make our favorite comfort foods. This serves a lot and can be made the day ahead which make it an easy dish to bring. I love Ronzoni Smart Taste or Dreamfields pasta when I cook.
I have been making this for years. It is easy and so good ! The only problem I have is that now when my family comes home I have to use 2 cast iron pans and with more Grandchildren arriving, I will soon be doing three !! This recipe will be used for many years to come.
This is from one of my sisters! She is an awesome cook and this was from a community cookbook she helped put together from 1988 !! It is still a favorite with our families! You do not have to add the shrimp ( I have a shell fish allergy ) but can substitute 1/2 cup finely diced mushrooms as I do.
This are so good and I have been making them for years. They are so easy, What more could you want? I marinade them frozen in a gallon zip lock bag. Easier to turn every so often. I use Tyson Wing Flings, they are the best.
I love soup and will cook several kinds on a weekend when I play catch on house cleaning and laundry ! Only until golf season that is !!! I freeze some and keep the rest in the fridge for a quick dinner during the busy work week.. I usually double the recipe because it does not seem to last long !
This is SO good and easy.I don't even want to give the recipe out when asked because it is so simple. Once you try this you might decide to add more or less jalapenos..When I make two pies, I really load one up with jalapenos and then top the pie with a few for a design and to let people know this is the HOT one !!!!
Everythime I go through my stacks of cookbooks and folders, I find a recipe that I loved and could not throw away. This is another one of those recipes. I got this out of a cookkbook from 25 years ago and still enjoy making this.
I tried this recipe the first time from a cookbook a girl at work was selling called Recipes for Life-Cooking for a Cure ,that was written for her friend who had ALS.. It was put together by family and friends lovingly to help find a cure for Mary Lou who did not beat this horrible disease.You will in time find, that I will post many recipes from this wonderful cookbook which had a second publishing that I have contributed recipes for.
I form this into a log and place on pretty platter and put the pita bread around it !

I love Chicken Tortilla soup and know that there are many recipes out there. I have adjusted the recipes I have tried and this is what my results ended up being. This is so easy and I usually put this in my big roaster and cook all day for 5 hours or so on low. Serve with a spinach salad and you are good to go.
This is one of those recipes you can't even remember where it came from, you have had it so long !!! All I know is that I have made this for holidays, birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, you name it !!!! Frozen Italian meatballs from the freezer makes this a must have recipe.
I had this after a cold round of golf at the golf course!!!I I decided to make this at home and this is what I came up with. I do not eat much red meat but you could use all ground beef or a combination of ground turkey,chicken and beef. This freezes well and I make mine in my big roaster that is just like a crock pot.. So easy and good. Servce with homemade corn bread and enjoy !
This is so refreshing on a hot summer day, and great to take to a picnic or BBQ !! Serve this inside the hollowed out pineapple on a nice platter with the fruit surrounding your "boat". Don't forget the toothpicks !!!!!
