My husband has been requesting jalapeno poppers for awhile but I was hesitant because I hadn't tried deep frying anything other than onion rings and potatoes before. These turned out really good.
This is something I came up with today since I had some Italian sausage and didn't want to go shopping for anything I would have had on hand for another recipe. This is creamy and very cheesy! And you can always add some red pepper if you want some heat to it.
You'll be surprised with some of the spices but it actually has a really good flavor...I didn't want to use the same recipe I had been using so I made my own instead. The key is to make sure to double coat, this makes the batter stick.
