This is so tastey and good for you too! If you use the low-fat or non-fat versions of the ingredients, you can have lunch for only 109 calories and no net carbs! I got this recipe from The Better Homes and Gardens New Dieter's Cookbook. Cooking time is chilling time.
This is another great recipe I found in the New Dieter's Cookbook from Better Homes & Gardens. We had this for supper last night and enjoyed it very much. I substituted lean ground beef for the steak and it tasted wonderful. We like to garnish this with a dallop of light sour cream and some pico de gallo. If you like a little kick, you might try some Tobasco sauce like I do.
I got this wonderful recipe from one of my favorite cook books, New Dieter's Cookbook from Better Homes & Gardens. It's low in calories, but tastes like a guilty pleasure! When I make it, I double the broth, milk, and flour to make it more soupy and less chunky.
Anytime I go to a party or picnic, this dessert loaf is always requested. I took 8 mini-loaves to my husband's office Thanksgiving dinner and one of his partners took home four of them! This recipe came from my friend, who got it from her aunt. I entered '2 loaves' for number of servings. I hope that's right; I usually use mini-loaf pans. This is a very moist bread!! Do not overcook.
I got the original recipe from the Food & Family magazine by Kraft, but I tweaked it a bit to adjust to my family's taste. I made this for our Independence Day barbeque and, as you can see from the picture, it looks great sitting on the table!
I found this is the May 2005 issue of Shape magazine. I made it for supper last night and it was great! My 10-year-old had three helpings, but my other kids weren't big fans of it. It's definitely a grown-up dish. Just a note, I doubled the amount of avacado and used imitation crab meat.
