We used to go to Georgia Bulldog football games with some friends. She introduced me to this treat. So simple and delicious!!! It was so fun to eat "dog food" at a Bulldog game. Go UGA!!!

This recipe is from a former neighbor from another lifetime it seems like (24 years ago). I still see her infrequently, wish it was more often. This is easy and very good now that you can get homegrown cukes, which make a difference!!! However, it is great anytime of the year! Hope you enjoy!!! This is easily doubled, etc. Just adding that I have used red, yellow and orange bell peppers with great success, basically it depends on what I have on hand.

This recipe is from my church's cookbook and I really like it. It is quite popular at our church functions. Hope you enjoy!!!

Again, recipe from a co-worker. I added the layer of hamburger to make it more substantial and to go further. This is easy and delicious! I hope you enjoy!!

This is my version of Kraft's gyro burger found at Their's is a lowfat version, mine is not! The cucumber sauce is very good. I add extra cucumber and garlic to "kick" up the flavor. You also can use AuntPaula's yogurt dip recipe #59947 instead of this sauce or add the cucumber to the yogurt dip. Yummy!!!

This dish is so good in cool weather, especially around the holidays! I do not remember where I got the recipe from, but have made it for the Thanksgiving brunch I have with my in laws for the last 3 years. It is the one leftover they will take home! As usual, easy and delicious.

    Recipe #90977

My mother makes these pickles and now so do I. My former sister in law thinks they are the worst pickles she has ever had, so I tease her about it. My DH and I like them and I keep them on hand all the time. They do have a diffrent taste. To each his own. Sounds crazy to make sweet pickles out of dill pickles.

This recipe came from my mother and it is a family gathering staple. At holidays, I double the recipe, so my cousin can take the leftovers home with her. Update:11/07 - My MIL made this just using garden peas (LeSeur brand) and onions. She sent some home to me via DH and they were delicious.

    Recipe #90734

I have had this many times over the years at family reunions and church meals. Paula Deen even has the recipe on her site on FoodTV. Can be doubled or tripled. Simple to make, easier to love!!! Edited to add: I have now tried this with frozen peas as recommended by the reviewers! Frozen peas are the way to go. It has better flavor and texture! But again, use whatever is your preference!

I got this recipe more than 20 years ago from a relative in law who is now deceased. I have not made it in a long time, but have passed it on to friends who have complimented it highly. The ingredients are so easy to adjust to suit your own taste buds. Great on ribs or chicken. Enjoy!!!

I got this recipe from a former neighbor about 12 years ago. She and her family haved moved a few miles away, into town, but I wish they were still in the neighborhood. She actually got my DH to dress as the Easter Bunny for a couple of years!!! I have pics to prove it. Anyway, back to the recipe. It is delicious and refreshing, especially in the warm weather we are beginning to have in NC. Again, guessing on the number of servings. Cook time is chill time, if you can wait for it to chill. I never do. ENJOY!!

Oysters are just about out of season now and I have not tried this recipe, but think it sounds good. If you decide to try it, I sincerely hope they are good. Maybe one day, I will get to try all the recipes that I want. (may be if I live to be as old as Methuselah (sp?)

My DH taught me this recipe. He made it up when he was younger. Again, very easy and tasty! We serve it over garden peas, but it is also delicious over baked potatoes or just about anything you would like to try it on. You can adjust the cheesiness of it by adding more or less cheese.

This is from a friend's sister. It is different with the sweetened condensed milk in it. Very tasty!!! Very easy, two important qualities to me. Not sure about the servings, so I guessed. Cooking time is chill time.

This recipe is from my cousin, Trudy. We have every Thanksgiving and Christmas, when our families get together. However, I do carry it to church functions all year long. I always get compliments on it. Hope you enjoy!!! By the way, a short cut would be just to mix all the vegetables into the cheese mixture and bake(not layering), then topping with the crushed crackers

After responding to Pam's recipe request at Zaar, I found this on the website. It sounds delicious and I hope it was what Pam was looking for!!! I suspect that since Pam's was on a buffet, all the ingredients were just mixed together, not made into nests as this recipe calls for. I also guessed on the prep/cooking time.

My coworkers are great cooks. This is another great recipe from a former coworker. Covered dish lunches at the office are a great way to discover new recipes. This is quick and easy. Hope you enjoy this one!!!

A lifelong friend gave me this recipe. It so good and kids love it. The recipe is easily doubled, even tripled so you have plenty of leftovers and plenty to freeze. If you freeze it, just add the bread crumbs and cheese later. Serve with crusty french bread and fruit or just by itself. Enjoy!!! PS: I would add the ketchup a little at the time and taste test, so you don't more of a ketchup flavor than you like!

A co-worker brought this to a covered dish lunch at the office and I just had to have the recipe! It is delicious and very easy to make. Such a refreshing dish! Great as a side dish or dessert. Hope you enjoy!!

This is a delicious summer salad, however I make any time of the year. It is always a big hit with family, friends and at church functions. We love it. It is easily made as a lowfat version, using low fat cheese and low fat mayo, even can use Splenda instead of sugar. Serving size is 1/2 cup. I obtained this recipe from Pillsbury Simple Summer Recipes Cookbook in approximately 1990. This is my first post to Recipe Zaar. I really hope you enjoy it.
