My precious mother didn't have a written recipe for her cornbread dressing.... so, after a few attempts to get it right, I think I am pretty close. She always made the most wonderful chicken and dressing every Thanksgiving of my life, until 1985. Sadly, she passed away on Thanksgiving day 1985 . Our family still gathers to celebrate her life and all that we are thankful for. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we have.
This is the best cheesecake I have ever had. Another recipe I served to my wonderful Keno friends and they loved it. I got the recipe from a segment on Good Morning America about the Cheesecake Factory.
These marshmallows are so delicious and so easy. The recipe came from the Joy of Baking.com You can log on for an easy tutorial. Also, you can substitute orange flavoring in place of the vanilla... so yummy!!
Got this recipe from Recipe Girl. It is unbelievable!!! I made it for my friend 's birthday and his daughter, Emmy, asked it I would make it for her birthday!! It's her favorite dessert!!! It takes some time, but, worth every minute!!
This recipe came from the Food Channel. It is so delicious. We took our children and grandchildren on a cruise and ordered this dessert almost every night. Serve with Bluebell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.
This chocolate pie is topped with 7 minute frosting. So much better than meringue !!! It is amazing. My Keno group ordered chocolate pie at a restaurant and they told us they used 7 minute frosting on top of the pie. I had to try it and it is delicious !!!
This is my favorite cake ever!!! It was Judy's recipe and we tweaked a little. It make such a beautiful dessert that I am always excited to serve. Besides looking so pretty, it is DELICIOUS !!!! The lemon filling between layers makes this cake!!
Another Keno dinner! Laura made this for our group a few years ago and we all begged for the recipe. I have made it several times and I prefer serving it with rice. Easy dish to prepare for someone in need.
This recipe came from my friend, Nan, who lives in Colorado Springs. I wasn't sure I wanted to try this recipe when she shared it with me. But, she said it was great and she was right. It is really different... try it!!
I know lots of people make Taco Salad, but.... my daughter, Aimee makes the best!!! We tease her alot, saying "If Aimee is preparing dinner, it must be Taco Salad", but we never get tired of it. And, she really can cook other things!
The Keno girls have played monthly for 15 years and each one of us takes our turn hosting. We prepare a special meal and dessert and a spend a fun evening together. This is another meal Laura served and it was so delicious and different.
My good friend, Ouida, makes these by the dozens. She works for a large group of judges and bakes goodies for the hospitality room at their judicial conferences. She is such a wonderful cook/host and always makes sure a good time is had by all.
