    This is an unbelievably flavourful rice recipe that almost seems a little too yummy for so few calories! I found this recice on a newsgroup, trimmed and vegetarian-ised it, and thought I'd share it with everyone here! It can easily be veganised with a suitable butter substitute.

    Determined to create my very own, 100% original pasta recipe, which I could call "mine" in all honestly, I made this for lunch today and was so thrilled with its fresh, light taste that I just HAD to post it and let everyone know that I'm not as unimaginative as I though! :) Reserving the pasta water saves some of the nutrients of broccoli from getting wasted.

    This is a one really easy and incredibly tasty chutney. This is my mom's recipe and no one makes it better, honest :) Store the chutney in the refrigerator (for not longer than a day; after that it usually goes bad), unless using it immediately, since the coconut makes it very perishable.

    These yummy potatoes go very well with hot rotis, nan, steamed rice, or garlic bread. You might need to adjust the amount of chilli powder and chillies to suit your taste, because it is a moderately spicy dish.

    Cormeal gives an excellent flavour to pancakes, although it makes them kinda hard to spread. Since these pancakes don't have sugar, they can be made either "sweet" or "savory" depending on what you have them with. They also taste great served hot right off the griddle!

    This is something I tried when I realised that there was too much chocolate syrup at home and I needed to find ways to get rid of it! Turned up with this surprisingly simple, easy but yummy frappe recipe. It's not very sweet, but for someone who doesn't add sugar to her coffee (um... that's me), it's perfect! Oh, but feel free to do so, if you wish.

    This is from "Chocolate Delights" by Neelaxi Arora, an obscure little chocolate cookbook that my aunt bought me years ago. I modified this to make it slightly less sinful, but it's still pretty devilish! Absolutely worth it, though. Forget the calories, just this once...

    It's really hard to find a recipe for eggless pancakes, and after lots of searching, I found a few pancake recipes and fine-tuned them to come up with this one, which is awfully easy and pretty darn yummy as well! It tastes wonderful with honey, or, if using apples instead of bananas, apple jam! It can easily be veganised using soy milk, or a similar substitution.

    I found this recipe for a hearty sprouts salad in a newspaper, and modified it to serve as a light lunch or dinner, accompanied by low-fat yogurt or fruit juice, if you like. It's incredibly easy to make. Use leftover boiled potatoes, and this becomes an almost no-cook recipe. Very satisfying (it takes a while to eat, though! Plenty of "munching") and crunchy, and wonderfully low

    My daily afternoon beverage! With minimal ingredients, it lasts me until dinner! On rainy or cold days, I just substitute the cold milk with hot milk, and the effect is yum :)
