Similar to what is served at Texas Roadhouse. Adapted from a recipe found at This is a sweet fruity drink and goes down easy.

    Recipe #445552

Makes a quick, portable breakfast for those busy weekday mornings. I cook the meat and dice the vegetables ahead of time and store in plastic bags in the fridge, so I can just toss it together in the morning. The measurements listed are guesses; I usually just "eyeball" it.

    Recipe #88737

You can make this in one pan in minutes.

    Recipe #86396

A real kid pleaser! These are made with brownie mix so couldn't be easier. This recipe adapted from one found on a brownie mix box back in the early '90's. Be sure to use the 21.5 oz size box of brownie mix (store brand is fine); otherwise they will be too runny. This recipe can be doubled.

    Recipe #92661

Great cheesy queso dip recipe given me by a friend. Can add cooked crumbled sausage if you like. Serve with tortilla chips.

    Recipe #512964

These are really easy -- they're made with a boxed spice cake mix! My mom gave me this recipe.

    Recipe #469759

Adapted from a checkout-aisle cookbook. Preparation time listed does not include mixing or rising time.

    Recipe #168995

This is a variation on the traditional cranberry/pineapple salad; red and green layers with a cream cheese layer in between. My mom makes this at Christmas and/or Thanksgiving and I can't stop eating it. Would be good for potlucks, too. Yum!

    Recipe #108495

Quick sweet cornbread recipe. This was DH's late grandmother's recipe. I like it because I can mix it up and be taking it out of the oven in less than 30 minutes. Great with chili, ham and cabbage, dried beans, stew, most anything.

    Recipe #264901

These biscuits are simple, with only 4 ingredients. This came from a magazine clipping several years ago. I usually peel and then boil fresh sweet potatoes, but you can use canned. To peel fresh sweet potatoes without getting your hands all sticky, spray a little nonstick cooking spray on your hands and rub your hands together before beginning to peel them.

    Recipe #135427

My husband came up with this recipe when we had a LOT of leftover fried chicken breast tenders from a Christmas party platter. We diced 'em up, sauced 'em up, and served over rice. Yay for leftovers!

    Recipe #445320

A friend gave me this basic scone recipe with which you can make any kind of scone. Very easy, goes together in minutes, tastes delicious!

    Recipe #508518

I've had this recipe for at least 15 years. It's a quick dessert!

    Recipe #95715

This is my favorite homemade pizza; these are the basic toppings though I vary sometimes depending on what's on hand. I make the dough in my bread machine and add a little garlic powder and basil or italian seasonings to the dough ingredients for extra flavor. Some measurements are approximate.

    Recipe #97918

This is pretty easy to make. I've had this recipe for 15 or 20 years; don't remember where it came from.

    Recipe #99426

No roux. My DH came up with this gumbo-like dish when our garden was overflowing with fresh okra. Whips up quickly and is great served with rice.

    Recipe #85687

This recipe for dried fruit baked with wine is a family favorite that I got from my MIL. We always have this at Thanksgiving and Christmas; it goes great with ham or turkey. Very easy to make, good hot or cold. Number of servings listed is a guess.

    Recipe #105505

I don't remember where I got this recipe; it might have been from the box of rock salt. Anyway, it's very rich and no raw eggs. Cook time listed is approximate freezing time, will vary with your machine.

    Recipe #93725

Easy, uses frozen dumplings. Makes a big potful, had to guess at number of servings. I adapted this from the basic recipe on the frozen dumpling box. I always use Anne's Dumplings in the red box ( but you could use any brand frozen dumpling strips.

    Recipe #87751

My mom gave me this recipe.
