This cake is a tasty, quick way to use up freshly picked wild blueberries. Frozen berries may be used if needed. We just ate some warm pieces of this cake... yum! It was borrowed from the Amish Friends cookbook.
This originally came from a Betty Crocker softcover #190. It has to be prepared at least 8 hours before dinner, so you'll have plenty of clean-up time before the guests arrive! The prep time does not include the 8 hrs. fridge time.
My pediatrician gave this to my Mom at least '30-something' years ago. It is supposed to help reduce high fevers, vomiting and settle upset tummies. Gingerale still reminds me of being sick and stuck in bed all day with my comic books.
