    This is an incredibly delicious version of a black bean and corn salad that is low in cal/fat and contains fiber and protein. The black pepper and lime juice really finish it off. This recipe actually came from Whole Foods but was tasty enough to take the time to post it here! This is definitely best served cold with raw ingredients.

    Designed for hiking and backpacking trips, these bars are high in protein and clean carbs, do not require refrigeration, and travel very well in the pack. I recommend using non-pasteurized (living) honey, natural peanut butter with as little additives as possible, and quick oats.

    These are delicious bean cakes made out of white beans with a bit of a southwestern flavor. They can be served with some yummy salsa and a good leafy salad, or even put on a tostada shell with some other toppings of your choice. This is also a vegan recipe, as long as you make sure the vegetable broth does not contain chicken (as many usually do).

    A hearty meal made with brown rice and assorted vegetables with tofu. Very delicious, even without a single bit of added butter or oil! You can add additional vegetables as you see fit, my family is picky though so I only used a small variety. The cans of mixed vegetables contain green beans, peas, carrots, celery, and lima beans.
