Inspired by the no pudge brownies, this cake is made with yogurt. Tastes like yellow bundt cake - super moist and the best part is that it has no butter or oil in it. Baking time is long but well worth it.
Best in unshelled shrimp, though I'm sure shelled will work too. Use about 30 large or 50 medium, but make sure they are raw, not pre-cooked.
Don't forget to serve with ciabatta, to soak up the sauce and gobble up!
Healthier version than most, and delicious. Maple sugar has less sugars per tbsp than table sugar, and is sweeter, so you need only half the amount, making the recipe even healthier. The maple taste adds great flavor. If you can't find maple sugar, you can just substitute brown sugar or natural maple syrup. Beware the sweetness of the syrup: you might have to adjust the amounts a little.
Translated and adapted from a French recipe on the back of the lentil bag label.
If you subsitute garam masala for the herbs the provence, you'll have Indian lentil soup. Add fresh mint, and you'll have a Morroccan version.
