This is a hearty, meaty breakfast bread that is as versatile as your imagination wants to let it be. Add as many meats and ingredients as you like, or simply scale it back to simply Ham and Cheese. All delicious, however, we like the Meat Lovers Breakfast bread the best.
I've been making these mashed potatoes for years. They are always requested at family gatherings. Although, I call them holiday potatoes, they can be made any time. I love the fact you can make them ahead, especially during the holidays when things are a bit hectic. They always turn out and taste great! The Yukon gold potato has a bit of a buttery flavor and works well in this recipe, but any potato is fine.
This is my husband's recipe, although everyone in our familiy makes it now. It is taking an average, ordinary, baked potato and bringing uptown. You can certainly change the quantities with ease, but I have included a recipe for just two.
I created this one night for dinner and hubby and I really enjoyed it. I have since made it several times for dinner guests and it has been a big hit. It is a fun and surprisingly light dish. Don't let the idea of the mustard scare you, it adds a really nice, flavorful touch and you won't know that it is there.
