Fast and flavorful weeknight dinner without worring about defrosting. Serve with salad and warm crusty bread. When serving this at a potluck I break up the pasta into 1 inch pieces and serve at room temperature as a salad or side dish.
We love feta cheese and fresh herbs and this fits the bill. The fresh herbs compliment the cheeses to perfection. This dish always is a big hit at parties and makes a beautiful presentation. Quick to put together and great as a make ahead.
A little time comsuming to make but effort well worth it! This is really very easy with only a few ingrediants and makes a pretty presentation besides tasting great. The recipe is from Kraft foods. Time includes chilling time.
This is so good and simple to make. I take this to picnics under the stars at outdoor concerts here in my area. Hence the name given to this chicken salad by my family and friends. Can be made ahead which I like. Cook time is actually chill time.
This recipe belongs to my Aunt Rose. She was a neighbor friend of my mothers and taught Mom to make this soup 40 years ago. Somewhere along the way I learned to make it too. Warm and hearty, a fairly healthy soup.
This is another recipe from my Cuban girlfriend. She said it came courtesy of Cocina Cubana club in Miami. Although I haven't made this yet I have devored this at her house. Light and savory main dish. So Good!
This is a very flavorful soup that is a comfort food for my family. The recipe was given to me by my Portuguese mil over 30 yrs ago. Her mother had passed it on to her. This soup is easily stretched to make more servings. The Chorizo gives the broth a good base for adding another can of beans or more pasta or a little water. Soul warming for a cold night, serve with a warm crusty bread. A great next day soup. Freezes well.
An awful lot of hoopla and celebrating goes on in Tampa in February and this chowder/stew is often served. I finaly got this wonderful recipe, after years of asking, from a friend who admitted it was from the Gasperilla Cookbook. Full flavored and hearty and easy to put together. Serve with warm crusty bread or big ole' homemade croutons. Time is estimated. I guess it depends on how fast one dices.
