I got this from a "Real Simple" magazine long ago. From then on, I always cook asparagus like this. It is "real simple" and asparagus are kept crispy and green (NOT raw), exactly the way we like to eat them.
Shelly, my sister-in-law, serves this at Thanksgiving. I make it often because my husband and I love it--in fact, I made it last night! It is so good sometimes we just warm it in the microwave and eat as dessert! I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do.
The page I printed from the internet that has this recipe no longer exists. This is absolutely delicious and I sometimes make it with whole chicken legs. Looks good for a formal dinner, and could also substitute the turkey at Thanksgiving. It's a bit time consuming, but the result is so delicious, believe me!
