Moist delicious cake. It really reminds me of a breakfast danish or something. Cake just doesn't do it justice! You can make it as the recipe follows or you can make it sugar free by using Splenda, or even fat free by replacing the oil with apple sauce and eggs with eggbeaters. It really is delicious. You can also use other fruit like peaches blueberries, pineapples. It is very versatile.
This is the real deal! Even before I did low carb I couldn't wait to go to the German Oktoberfest for a whipped cream puff! This is low carb and it tastes like the actual Stuff. Well, love peppers, and cheese, and well sweet cornbread. How can you go wrong. It's cheap, easy, and delicious! Great with chili or even a hearty bean soup. Also I usually make this amount to have left overs. It's wonderful by itself just smothered in butter. Surprisingly it is not that hot..a little spice with a little zing from the peppers being pickled
This recipe is a family favorite. The few people that know I use canned biscuits cannot believe it! I think they are better than homemade. This is the only leftovers that get eaten in my house until they are gone. Even the people I work with made me bring some in after seeing them when I brought them to lunch!!
