Chicken, italian sauage and a baguette cooked on the grill served in a ceasar salad. Doen't get any better than this! I saw this on Foodnetwork (Tyler Florence) and decided I had to make it!
Big hit with my husband and the leftovers were a big hit at the office.
Hope you enjoy-- and thanks Tyler for again.. a great recipe!
Only change I would make, is parboil the sausage to ensure it's cooked thru.
My Mom made these often instead of mashed potatoes. They are great for a buffet or brunch. The lefties are great the next morning used as home fries. I have cooked them the night before, stored in refrigerator and reheated (brought to room temp) and put in oven with whatever is in there cooking! They also reheat well in a microwave.
Not sure where this recipe came from originally, but my girlfriend made it for dinner at few years back and it's become a staple at our house. Fancy enough for company.
Usually I serve with wild rice and green beans. Hope you enjoy!
This is a signature dish at Hot Tomatoes restaurant in Hartford, Ct.(which was published in the Hartford Courant) The restaurant serves 15-20 gallons of Tort Rose sauce per night! It is yummy. and served with a tossed salad and some garlic bread, it's delicious
