We had these at my husband's favorite BBQ restaurant, "Famous Dave's", and we BOTH fell in love with them. It's a meal in and of itself, and SO DELICIOUS (and easy, too!).

    Recipe #207307

My husband spent some time living down south while he was in the Coast Guard. His all time favorite dish from that area is "Biscuits and Gravy". I tried for 8 years, unsuccessfully, to come up with a version of sausage gravy to satisfy his craving and fond remembrances of "southern" sausage gravy. Until I found this little gem. It's a combination of a few recipes posted in response to a request I made in the 'Zaar "Recipe Request" form last year. I make it with MaryAlice's Baking Powder Biscuits (#87258) every time.

    Recipe #169026

A neat idea for gift giving or for those special occasions where you want to "dress up" plain old chocolate covered strawberries. Very easy and relatively inexpensive, especially compared to the store-bought ones. **yield stated below depends on how many of the strawberries are good enough to use, per carton**

    Recipe #157160

This is in NO WAY healthy or good for your body, but I might argue it's very good for your soul. Great for make ahead occasions, potlucks and brunches.

    Recipe #139066

Super easy & quick version of "Chicken A La King" using ingredients you most likely have on hand. Kid friendly, too.

    Recipe #133711

I saw this on an episode of "The Baby Story" a long time ago and dug it out when it was time for my sister's baby shower. Very cute placed on the guest tables at baby showers or on the food buffet table. Also good for playing the "Can't Say the Word" shower game (where every guest is given an item, sometimes it's a clothespin, and they are instructed at the beginning of the shower that they can't say a certain word. each time a guest says that word in conversation to another guest, the offending person must surrender their item/clothespin to the person that caught them. The person with the most items at the end of the shower wins.).

    Recipe #112525

This came from Family Fun magazine, it's SUPER easy, next to NO MESS. Great activity to do with kids. Excellent alternative to messing around with melting chocolate and dipping pretzels.

    Recipe #104975

Easy, nutritious, keeps for a long time (in a sealed container), easily "tweaked" to fit your personal tastes. A REAL kid-pleaser. Great for bringing snack on your child's turn at preschool/daycare. Although it may be wise to omit the ingredients containing peanuts (when considering a choice for nuts and regarding the peanut butter chips) as the allergy to peanuts is increasingly common and potentially life-threatening. Also great for a cooking activity with small children...wash their hands and let them throw handfulls of the ingredients together.

    Recipe #100185

I used to get this to-die-for chicken salad at a local deli when I nannied in Chicago. I've since been scouring the net for anything that even RESEMBLES it. Eventually I just gave up and called the deli, begging for the recipe, and they did give it to me. Especially for those "what to cook, it's too damn hot" nights when you're looking for something to make for dinner. Cooking time includes marinating and chilling. Thank you, "Don's Finer Foods" of Lake Bluff, IL!

    Recipe #96016

That's right folks, the Jimmy Buffett fan in me is sharing a "Buffett-inspired" recipe to get into the "swing of things" and gear up for tailgating season. Also lots of fun for kids' snacks or barbecues. I saw this in a little shop in Estes Park, CO and tried out some things to make a "copy" when I got home.

    Recipe #89105

Fell in love with this after a friend and I had dinner at O.G., searched for the recipe and found it at Copykat Creations.

    Recipe #84548

I got this recipe from a Coast Guard wife whose husband worked with mine. She was from a tiny town in Louisiana and said sometimes her dad would work for shrimp when it was in season and her mom would make this with some homemade biscuits to go with it. I lost this recipe once, and tried some more elaborate recipes for the etoufee, but this ones is TONS better than any I've tried.

    Recipe #78417

Got this recipe from a cookbook my husband & I picked up on our honeymoon in the Keys. A few years later, stuck in snowy, land-locked IA where we live, we decided to make up a few batches of these with some Rum Runners and have a "Wish We Were in Key West" dinner party with a few friends.

    Recipe #78418

I had a daycare client bring me a batch of this and just LOVE it.

    Recipe #474228

Had these at a bridal shower and begged the recipe off of one of the bridesmaids. Total hit at any party or get together.
