I was searching for a shortcut alternative to Chi Chi's Fiesta Corn Cake when I saw how much the package cost in the stores. This is what I came up with and it was YUMMY!!! DH even like it and he isn't a corn bread fan at all.
Favorite recipe from my childhood. Wonderful with fresh Michigan blueberries. The cooking directions might seem a little unusual, but the end result is a very crispy topped cake. Trust me, it's worth it!!!
A step away from the everyday side dishes. I got this from Taste of Home 1999. It's been a favorite side dish ever since. I usually add more Worcestershire sauce, because I really like the flavor. Enjoy
I made this recipe up one afternoon when I didn't have all the ingredients to make what I wanted. My friend Carrie loved it and requested the recipe to make for herself. It's an easy recipe and a unique flavor.
This recipe was from a local Indianapolis newspaper more than 15 years ago. My mother and I have used it for cookie swaps with rave reviews. It's an excellent way to get rid of leftover Christmas candy canes!
This is the moistest cake I have ever eaten. The frosting is a hit with people who don't like regular frosting. I have also left the cake unfrosted and then frosted individuals pieces as it was eaten. The cake and the frosting kept covered in the fridge for about a week. Cooking time includes chilling time.
