I ran out of eggs...so I dipped the chicken in pizza sauce instead. My 4 year old loved them and asked for seconds.

    Recipe #519342

Ham and Cheddar Muffins - got from someone on babycenter.ca message boards while trying to come up with freeze ahead easy meals for when baby arrives.

    Recipe #434802

I modified a recipe I found to come up with this for a new diet I'm on. Sounds like a healthier alternative to all the buttered lobster tail recipes I found.

    Recipe #398349

I had some extra veal I didn't know what to do with and figured I'd try making some jerky out of it. It was surprisingly good. I think I could have turned the oven off much sooner though, it was very brittle. A nice slight hint of BBQ flavour and it was great. I used calorie-free Walden Farms BBQ because I'm on a diet, but I'm sure another full flavour BBQ sauce would add much more flavour. Also, I eyeballed the BBQ sauce, I used enough to cover all the meat, so it might be more than 1/2 cup. I'm looking forward to trying this with Teriyaki Sauce and other seasonings. I don't add salt as I'm trying to watch my sodium right now. I found the bbq sauce was just enough flavour.

I've been trying to get more protein rich meals, but I really hate eggs. This is the only way I've come up with to eat them without having to add any carbs. Super simple and I can't taste the egginess at all. I use pancetta because it's really flavourful and the taste explodes in your mouth and covers up any egg taste, but I'm sure any type of meat would do. I make my own pizza sauce once in a while and then freeze them in ice cube trays. The 1/4 cup sauce is an estimate, you may want to adjust if it's a really thin watery sauce. Also, I'm sure salsa would work just as well.

Make healthy Granola to use in trail mix or over yogurt for a healthy breakfast...in your breadmaker! I use about a 1/3 cup scoop of this over about 1/3 cup - 1/2 cup plain natural yogurt for my breakfast every day. I also found this to be an easy, filling and healthy camping breakfast with the individual size yogurts thrown in the cooler. Choose your own combo of nuts and dried fruits...for a special treat, add some dark chocolate chips after it has cooled.

My cousin and I came up with this simple recipe, when she overbaked the sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving Dinner. They tasted great! I don't really like sweet potatoes, but I took thirds on this one.

    Recipe #332033

This is more of a method than a recipe, but this is how I always make wings now. I find boiling them first helps get rid of more of the fat, and they get crispier in the oven.

From, The Totally Cookies Cookbook. The original recipie doesn't call for cornstarch. I read somewhere, that for a chewier texture, you need to add cornstarch, so I always add 1 tsp cornstarch to this recipe, and I never have leftovers. It's great to have on hand especially during the holiday season or special occassions. Keep a log in the fridge or freezer, and make a few at a time in your toaster oven. Yum! Preparation and cooking times will vary depending on how many batches your oven will fit. I always double the recipe because they go so quickly.

    Recipe #311994

I came up with this while on a 30-Day Detox. I needed to be creative with foods that I was allowed (and not allowed), and this is what I've come up with. Amounts are approximate, I eyeballed everything. Cooking time and prep time does not include cooking rice as I use Plain Rice -- Make Ahead OAMC Throw It in the Freezer!! - #159839. Omit the shrimp or replace with tofu for a vegetarian dish. I have also substituted other veg for the broccoli. I have tried asparagus and red peppers. I think tonight I will have it with peas. Tip: Add a bit of water to deglaze the pan during cooking if the vinegar isn't enough or if things start to stick, I find it also helps distribute the flavours a bit.

One of each ingredient (almost) makes this recipe easy to make. Perfect for any party or even to make a regular dinner a bit more special. These can be made ahead and kept in the freezer. When ready to serve, just pop in an oven or toaster oven for 5-10 minutes until heated through. (personally, I think these taste better when frozen and then reheated.)

    Recipe #283087

I just sort of put this together one day, And I thought they tasted pretty good. They would definitely make a great appetizer.

    Recipe #270638

My husband is the most picky eater ever. He suggested this idea behind this recipe, and actually went for seconds. I thought it was really good too, but I feel guilty about all the cheese that's in there. Oh well.

    Recipe #264074

I got this recipe from my mom. I made these last year for Halloween and used both white and brown Splenda in place of the sugar and they were a big hit without the icing sugar dusting. My mom and I just made two batches last night with homemade pumpkin puree and regular sugars. You can cut down the sugars by about 1/4 cup each and they still taste great.

    Recipe #264013

I came up with this one weekend when I was really hungry and wanted something substantial but quick. My mom makes an Italian version with homemade sauce and ground pork but it takes a long time.

Great recipe for a crowd...or if you want to make twice baked potatoes in half the time. Potatoes will be baked and ready by the time you get home, then you can scoop, mash and reassemble.

    Recipe #253773

Great healthy snack mix that gets me through the day.
