    I have always liked pears and my favorite is poached pears. I think you will like this version Its another way to cook with wine and thats always exciting. I like to use a fruity red or a slightly sweet German red wine. Don't use cooking wine .Use a good inexpensive wine that you will enjoy drinking what is left. Use Bosc pears if possible. I have found this good with my Bills Hambergers or Grilled fish. Serve cold.

    I love to grill steaks and I like to do it kind of simple. The most important thing is the steak itself. Please use a nice cut that is prime or choice.     I like Fresh butterbeans. I also like canned ones but not for this recipe. The prep time is less than 15 minutes and all you need that may be unusual is home made pasta sauce. So next time you make some and freeze a cup to use when you make this. You could use a canned pasta sauce but I am sure yours taste better. Give this a try you will really like it,

    I saw this recipe in one of the more popular food mags. Sorry I don't remember which one. I have tried it twice and both were GREAAAAT. I changed a few things that I think improved it and I hope you like it. I use Dukes Mayo and Frenchs Mustard but use whatever brand you want.     I love chile! So I look for different ways to fix it. Here is one. I get my heirloom beans from They have many different types. I used Christmas limas, tepary (white), jaquero and flaueolet heirloom beans. There is no reason you could not choose other heirlooms. This chili is not overly spicy but if it's spice and heat you want add cayenne, chili powder and a hot pepper or two. Have fun and enjoy.

    In my middle age period I was lucky enough to have a boat, cool boat. During the summer weekends we cruised the Chesapeake Bay with another couple. One of the easiest meals was this one. We could make it before we left the Patomac river and have them that night after happy hour. You could always add fresh seafood before we reheated them.
