RealMomKitchen said: "I think I have finally found the perfect plain old pancake recipe, thanks to Recipe Rhapsody. Now Recipe Rhapsody actually got the recipe from Radishes and Rhubarb who adapted the recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. Here’s the funny thing. I have that cookbook on my shelf with that recipe in it and never tried it. Hello???? What was I thinking????? So I must thank Recipe Rhapsody for making me aware of a wonderful recipe that I already had on my shelf." (http://realmomkitchen.com/1425/fluffy-buttermilk-pancakes/).
I'm posting here so I don't lose the recipe. It worked great with rice milk used in the classic buttermilk substitute of lemon juice and milk!
My mother-in-law grew up in SoCal, so when I received poblano peppers in my CSA share I asked for her chile rellenos recipe. DH advised that I use two eggs per pepper, but it would also work as three eggs per two peppers. If using canned peppers, skip the first step. Prep time includes step one for fresh peppers.
Happened upon this recipe at Once A Month Mom. Am posting here so I can add it to my rotation and shopping list with everything else. Original recipe is found at http://onceamonthmom.com/raspberry-glazed-pork-chops/.
This recipe comes to my family from a good friend who played surrogate Auntie for our kids when we lived in North Carolina. She got it from her Mimi (maternal grandmother). Not sure of its history from there. Smash hit wherever it goes. Several similar cake mix bundt recipes on here, but none exactly like this one so thought I'd add it to the fray. Requires a carafe of milk while eating. *wink*
Threw the pantry at a pork roast in the crock pot and this is what resulted. The roast turned out so tasty with the 'gravy' that we made it into a soup a couple nights later. DH liked the soup even better.
