These olives are addictive! They are good all alone, served with other appetizer-type foods and other dishes. Crusty bread dipped into the sauce and eaten with a good hearty soup is wonderful! I love using fresh bell peppers and hot Cherry Bomber chiles from my garden in this. The original recipe was found in the August '94 issue of Gourmet. I have improvised on olives, due to what is not available in my area; as well as some adjustments to technique, thanks to Charishma on toasting spices. Cook time is chilling, marinating time.

When I got a last minute invitation to Easter dinner with family and friends, I didn't want to go empty handed, even though I wasn't expected to bring anything. So I adapted a Hershey's recipe, plunked on some ears from a chocolate bunny and said the rest was in the pie. It was a hit, and a topic of conversation and teasing. It is easy, delicious and could easily be adapted to other occasions. Could be fun for children to help prepare and decorate. The cook time is actually chill time.

This is a merger of several recipes I found while researching for a special Mothers day dinner. Coconut is Mom's favorite ice cream. This version is easy, not too sweet, smooth, creamy and quite tasty. It might be good with some coconut stirred in at the last. The cook time is freeze time and is variable depending on your machine. Prep time does not include chill time for the coconut milk.

Mom found this recipe somewhere many years ago and it has been a family favorite ever since. I've upgraded the plain old garlic powder to a newer, much improved one with more flavor. When I get a craving for this, nothing else will do! The cooking time is actually an approximate chill time and prep time doesn't include time to boil the water.

If you like the combination of pineapple and cottage cheese, you'll like this simple & tasty gelatin salad. It's delicious as is, or to dress it up, scoop it onto a lettuce leaf with a little mayo on the side. Be sure to use pineapple canned in its own juice, and don't leave out a drop. Cook time is chill time. Enjoy!

A simple, delicious tart made with fresh fruit and yogurt. I have used frozen pie shells & frozen puff pastry with equal success in this. It is delicious with vanilla flavored yogurt and pure vanilla extract! The cook time does not include the cooling times.
