This recipe caught my attention for its simplicity and ease as a weeknight meal that could be on the table in minutes. I haven't tried it yet but wanted to post here for safekeeping as I've had it in my recipe files for years. If anyone tries it before I do, I hope you will post your comments!

    Recipe #433490

If you love creamy southern-style coleslaw, give this dressing with an Asian-style twist a try. Leftover dressing can be kept refrigerated for up to a week offering you a great last-minute option for creating a fresh tasting side dish for your dinner menus throughout the week. Napa cabbage is also a great substitute for packaged coleslaw mix.

    Recipe #433277

My husband and I have glorious dreams of someday owning our own cabin. This is the recipe I'll make to invoke the flavors and aroma of a warm, inviting and cozy place to come back to after a cold wintery day outside. For now, we'll just keep dreaming. But if you find yourself at the perfect cabin getaway, we recommend a bowl of this while sitting in front of a roaring fire, eating some chewy French bread and enjoying each other's company over a great glass of red.

    Recipe #188720

This recipe is from Margaret Rudkin, better known as the founder of the Pepperidge Farm Company. Her cookbook is long out of print but contains such a treasury of delicious recipes that I would encourage anyone who collects cookbooks to try to find a copy for themselves. This makes for a decadent Sunday morning breakfast.

    Recipe #188716

This is our Thanksgiving side dish staple but it would go great with chicken or salmon. One of the great things about this recipe is that you can cook the green beans ahead of time and make the sauce at the last minute which usually helps with those holiday meals! This is a family recipe that originally came from my Aunt in SoCal. UPDATE: after reading reviews, I've increased the amount of chicken broth to make more of the yummy sauce. Thanks for the great feedback!

    Recipe #188673

This is a family recipe that originally came from my Aunt Gloria, a wonderful hostess and great cook. This spread is a little different from ordinary tuna spread and is great served with crackers or used as a filling for tea sandwiches.

    Recipe #180767

This recipe is from Chandler's Crabhouse in Seattle. The restaurant periodically supplies patrons with its recipes on cards at their hostess station. This is a great appetizer and very simple to put together.

    Recipe #180766

I've been experimenting with making my own fresh salad dressings and this is one of my favorites! It's so easy to make your own and this keeps well for at least a week in the refrigerator. This goes great with salad ingredients that include romaine, slivered cabbage, green onions, cucumbers or any of the bitter asian greens that many grocers and farmer's markets now carry.

    Recipe #180675

This is one of those great meal ideas for after work. I'm always looking for quick, easy and delicious dinners that combine fresh ingredients in a flash. I believe this originally appeared in Good Housekeeping magazine but have seen it on other cooking sites with no reference.

    Recipe #180672

A light and refreshing glaze that adds delicious apricot flavor to quickbreads, poundcake and cupcakes. This makes any homemade treat tastes like it came from a French bakery. Use fresh squeezed orange juice and homemade preserves for an easy ooh, la, la touch of Paris! This is especially good with lemon poundcake.

    Recipe #179909

This is our version of the extremely popular appetizer served at Chinook's restaurant in Seattle's Fisherman's Terminal. Fast and fresh, this makes a great party dish as almost everything can be made ahead of time. It's also a great main dish on those nights when it's too hot to cook in the kitchen. So sit back, relax, pop a cold one and imagine yourself on the beaches of Baja. This is one appetizer that let's you enjoy your own fiesta.

    Recipe #179832

A creamy tuna pasta salad that's a great accompanyment to any summer potluck or get together. This originally appeared in Taste Of Home magazine but we've modified for our family's taste.
