This recipe was handed down from my husband's Great-Great-Grandmother - his Grana has it written out in her grandmother's own handwriting! In this family, it's made & served like a piece of cake.
I made it 24 small pieces because the flavor is pretty strong. I can only have a small piece at a time. Of course, my husband can eat more than that!
Made by Wally Pippin at the Ladies Christmas Tea at my mom's church. He calls it Chai Tea. It was really good. It was really sweet, so the sugar could probably be cut down some, too. This recipe was made for a large group. I'm not sure how many it will serve. Since I had to put in a servings amount, I just guessed at 30.
