    Bhg's Oven Barbecued Ribs
    Handle

Haven't tried this one yet but got it from last month's Better Homes and Gardens and sounds delicious!

    Recipe #336208

    Select
    20 Minute Stuffed Jalapeños
    Handle

Nice and easy without a huge mess and lots of prep time.

    Recipe #301912

    Select
    Extra Meaty Split Pea Stew
    Handle

This is my own adaptation of the classic split pea soup. It has tons of meat, is just a tad spicy, and is sooooooooooooo delicious! This is always what I make a day or two after making a ham so my recipe calls for the leftover ham bone, but I am sure this would be just as tasty without it. Our grocery stores all sell the fresh french bread loaves so I usually try to get one of those to serve with it - it seems to be the perfect compliment. The cooking time listed is on the long side - sometimes it takes me 15-30 minutes less, and I put no prep time because you can prepare all the veggies while the peas are soaking in the hot water.

    Recipe #287831

    Select
    White Peach Sangria
    Handle

This is my adaptation of a drink served at Applebees. It is so easy and cheap. The recipe I wrote is for a single 10-oz drink, but feel free to adapt to make a pitcher (or two :-) The brands don't really matter but these are my personal preferences that I wanted to remember. And feel free to add whatever fruit you like! Best if served chilled of course!

    Recipe #280302

    Select
    Spinach-Chicken Breast Rolls
    Handle

From Good Housekeeping magazine - this one won a prize!

    Recipe #278994

    Select
    Winter Woods Chili
    Handle

From Better Homes and Gardens' January 2008 issue - a "By the Bowlful Recipe".

    Recipe #278531

    Select
    Spicy Chicken Kabobs
    Handle

A recipe our local grocery store made last week - very different and yummy! I'm told you can make a variation of these using pork as well. Can be dairy-free depending on the ingredients in the chips you get!

    Recipe #272606

    Select
    Mexican Corn Dumpling Soup
    Handle

A totally delicious and different soup - our local grocery store was making this last week and I got the recipe. The recipe called for 1 Tbsp chili powder originally but for my own personal taste I reduced it to 1/2 Tbsp. It also makes a fantastic vegetarian dish if you omit the meat - you get the protein from the beans and the heaviness from the dumplings!

    Recipe #272492

    Select
    Tilapia W/ Lemon Caper Sauce
    Handle

Mmmm!!! Another recipe from our local grocer. Quick, cheap, and easy! Really good with wild rice and steamed veggies.

    Recipe #272307

    Select
    Mini Mushroom-Beef Wellington
    Handle

So easy, cheap, and yummy! A recipe our local grocery store was making last week. We happen to have all these pre-made ingredients at our grocery store, but I am sure you can easily adapt to homemade!

    Recipe #272199

    Select
    Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings
    Handle

Found on teriskitchen.com - haven't tried yet but my husband has requested I make it!

    Recipe #270984

    Select
    Muffuletta Sandwiches
    Handle

If you're a fan of muffalettas, here's a great easy way to make them at home!

    Recipe #270575

    Select
    Slow Cooker Irish Stew
    Handle

A great way to make lamb!

    Recipe #270463

    Select
    Briana's Zesty Spaghetti Sauce
    Handle

An adaptation I've come up with that makes for the perfect companion to your choice of noodles. This is healthy, a little spicy, and absolutely delicious - its a whole new concept to the flavor of pasta sauce that you are going to love! Afterthought: DH just started weight watchers and this recipe using 0 point butter and calculating 1 cup of cooked vermicelli noodles per serving is only 10 points per serving.

    Recipe #259898

    Select
Easiest Chicken Rice & Veggie Casserole
    Handle

Even though I can't eat chicken, this recipe is so ridiculously easy that sometimes I make it for my husband and daughter when I'm tired. It takes 10 minutes to throw together and has all the important food groups in it! If you use chicken thighs, its SUPER CHEAP too. Feel free to sub whatever "Cream of..." soup you like, we just happen to like mushrooms. Update: I think people were missing the part of the instructions that called for the 2 soup-can-fulls of water so I'm adding it into the recipe. This recipe is intentionally on the bland side, making it kid friendly or open to whatever spices and seasonings you prefer!

    Recipe #257904

    Select
    Briana's Belt Buster Pot Roast
    Handle

I call this my belt buster recipe because we seem to end up stuffing ourselves on it till our stomachs can't stretch anymore. This is really easy to throw in before work in the morning. I usually prepare mine the night before and stick my crock pot in the fridge and just pop it on the base in the morning. The house smells like heaven when I get home. The vegetable ingredients are not exact measurements, add as much or as little as you like! PS - This pot roast meat is one of the only meats I can get my 14-month-old to eat - I guess because it is fall-apart-in-your-mouth easy to chew. PPS - if you are careful on which seasoning mix you use, this is also a great lactose-free recipe

    Recipe #243882

    Select
    Carne Su Jugo
    Handle

A slightly Americanized version of a dish I learned to make in Mexico. The lime juice is key - I know it sounds weird, but it's absolutely necessary.

    Recipe #217236

    Select
    Royal Frosting (Dairy-Free)
    Handle

This is just a basic frosting, more airy than creamy. Can be flavored with 1 tsp of any kind of extract. Non-dairy!

    Recipe #199695

    Select
    Mini-Pan Angel Food Cake
    Handle

This is for the mini-pan set that makes 6 little cakes - perfect for strawberry shortcakes!

    Recipe #199694

    Select
    Dairy-Free Carrot Bundt Cake
    Handle

This is a yummy carrot cake whether you can eat dairy or not - my personal favorite!!!
