    Goo Gone Homemade
    Handle

I saw this online and knew I had to keep this recipe safe. In case you’re not familiar with Goo Gone, it’s an oily liquid that’s really helpful in getting rid of sticky residue (like getting a label off a jar) and can also be used for deeper cleaning where an oily grime or film has built up on a surface. It may seem contradictory to clean something sticky with an oil, but one of the basic tenets of chemistry – Like Dissolves Like.

    No-Baste, No-Bother Roasted Turkey
    Handle

I saw Trisha Yearwood prepare a turkey on her show on the Food Network with this recipe/method and it appeared to be incredibly easy and looked delicious. In the past, I've used the roasting bags for my turkey and while they come are moist, they don't have that beautiful deep golden brown roasted appearance. I'm eager to try this recipe in the hope that I can achieve both. I'm posting the recipe so I don't misplace it. Perhaps, I'll try a large roasting chicken first. I'll keep you posted.

    Olive Chicken
    Handle

I found this recipe years ago in a magazine featuring celebrities' favorite chicken dishes. This recipe came from Lea Thompson. Lea (Caroline in the City, Back to the Future trilogy) is also from the Midwest, so I thought my family and I would like this recipe. We do.

    Cherry Streusel Coffee Cake

This recipe came with my new Wilton pan. I thought it looked good and wanted to keep it safe until I could try it myself. I hope you enjoy it.

    Gino's Salad Dressing
    Handle

Gino's Italian Restaurant in Des Moines, Iowa is known for their fabulous house salad dressing (a creamy Parmesan cheese dressing). This recipe is very close to their great recipe. I know you will be tempted to leave out the achovy paste, but DO NOT. It is what makes this salad dressing so special. Achovy paste is found in must grocery stores and is not expensive. This recipe makes a large batch, so I often make just half of it.

Bethenny Frankel made this on The Bonnie Hunt Show and it looked great.

    Chicken Salad With Mango-Yogurt Dressing
    Handle

I often roast whole chickens or turkey breasts to use for our lunches (less expensive and healthier than deli meats) and am always on the lookout for new recipes for different sandwiches, wraps and salads. My husband and I tried this today for lunch and we both really liked it. The yogurt dressing was a nice change from the usual mayo-based dressing and will be great for those warm summer days. My husband and I love curry, so I used 1 1/2 teaspoons curry when I made this and may use 2 teaspoons next time. I used cashews, but think the pistachios will be good too. I think adding some diced Granny Smith apple or swapping dried cranberries for the raisins would be other good variations. This Indian-inspired recipe is adopted from a cookbook from Lorna Sass.
