An easy savory appetizer that usually goes quickly. I have also used non-layer biscuits, cut into thirds and pressed into mini-muffin tins before topping with the filling.

This is a delicious spring or summertime dessert. You can also prepare in a trifle bowl with multiple layers. I have found that I must double the amount of cream layer and strawberries for a trifle.

Pretty little appetizers that can be adapted with other fillings. Best served warm from the oven.

This is one of my favorite spring-time dishes. However, with the availability of frozen asparagus, it can be modified to enjoy year round. Editted to add: After receiving the first review of this recipe, I realized that I hadn't mentioned that we usually top this with fresh grated parmesan cheese. Yum! Hope you enjoy!

Use any flavor of jello that you wish. There are many interesting colors/flavors available that would be appropriate for any occasion. Cut the jello into squares or use cookie cutters to form shapes. Kids love this. Cook time includes chill time.

A different type of potato salad. It is slightly sweet. I have a favorite recipe with mustard, but sometimes, this just seems appropriate. Cook and prep time does not include 12 hour marinating time.

A friend found this is a Pilsbury cookbook a few years back. They can be assembled up to 2 hours ahead and refrigerated (covered tightly). I make these frequently for appetizers when we get together. They are also an interesting addition to a brunch buffet.

Not exactly an authentic Lemon Chicken, but I believe this is very tasty. I have also added mandarin oranges to the sauce. You may use frozen stir-fry veggies to cut some of the prep time. My sister always requests this when she visits.

Small danishes that make a great addition to a brunch buffet. You can also make fruit and cream cheese danishes by adding a spoonful of your favorite pie filling prior to baking. There are never any leftovers when I make these.

A very easy pasta dish for busy evenings. I like it served with crusty bread (to dip in the sauce) and a tossed salad. I have even doubled the recipe and served it to guest on a casual evening.

A very tasty and easy side dish. My husband likes this topped with a grating for parmesan cheese. Toasted walnuts are also a nice touch for presentation.

This is almost an instant dip. It takes longer to gather the ingredients than it does to prepare. It is awesome with fresh veggies.

    Recipe #72947

I found this dip on another site. I usually plan ahead and grill extra chicken a day or so ahead. However, the purchased grilled chicken would work just as well. Cooking time does not include preparing the chicken.

An excellent dip to be served with tortilla chips or crackers. I have also transferred it to a small crockpot to keep warm while serving. Adjust the onion and garlic to taste...I don't usually measure, and it isn't the same twice.

This recipe was originally submitted by Mean Chef (IHHDRO). I adopted it after he left the site. My comments in my original review stated, "Although I didn't find this recipe here, I have made this salsa for several years. Due to variations of ingredients on hand, I sometimes make changes (and/or additions). However, this is a very good base recipe for fresh salsa. There is no need to change it; but we all like a little variety now and then." I am the designated salsa-maker among my friends, and this recipe never disappoints.

    Recipe #72744

This recipe was originally submitted by Mean Chef (IHHDRO). I adopted it after he left the site. The text from my original review stated, "Excellent guacamole! I didn't have any serrano peppers on hand and subbed a some finely diced jalapenos. The flavor of this was so fresh and wonderful. I love avocados and this was guac at its best." I go through phases of craving guacamole and have tried other recipes, but always come back to this one.

A yummy appetizer that is quick to go on the buffet table. The beef should be thinly sliced, but not shaved. Also, don't be afraid to experiment with different cream cheese combinations.

Produces tender and juicy pork with minimal fuss. The recipe could be adapted for the oven.

My mother has used this recipe at Christmas since the mid 80's. You can substitute chocolate candy coating for the chocolate frosting. Cook time includes time for coating to set.

    Recipe #71689

Great dip to serve with toasted pita wedges, veggies, or chunks of grainy bread. I have friends who prefer this to "real" hummus.
