"This is a very easy and tasty cake.I am hopeless when it comes to baking but it came out beautifully soft and moist.I added a touch of cinnamon and next time I will also add some walnuts.Thank you for posting this lovely recipe."
"Not too sweet, but I topped it off with clear sugar crystals for extra texture and sweetness"
"This was an exceptional recipe. It took no time at all to prepare. I chose to use fresh bananas and fresh blueberries. I coated the blueberries in about a tablespoonful of flour prior to adding them to the batter. This way it kept the bread from turning purple.<br/>This recipe has been added to my collection and I will be making this loaf again very soon. Thank you, Bliss."
"I've made these twice and they are the best. The oatmeal gives them a little more volume and the ingredients list is shorter than others. Better than the higher rated recipes. I increased the sugar to 3/4 cup to make then a little sweeter."
"Congrats! Your scrumptious Banana Blueberry Bread was featured on our homepage as the "Recipe of the Day" ! (6/25/11)"
"THIS STUFF IS GREAT! however, i only gave 4 stars because i made some changes:
i used fresh blueberries, 4 bananas, 2/3 cup of oatmeal.
And i ADDED 1 1/2 tsp vanilla ext, 2 tsp cinnamon, and a few dashes each of ginger powder and chai spice, and a PINCH of nutmeg.
MY apt smelled so good while this was baking! i couldnt wait to taste a slice slatherd with butter and it was well worth the wait! Will deff make again!"
"It was good, but not great. I liked that the bread was moist and I liked the combo of banana and blueberries. It seemed like it need a tad bit more flavor. Maybe vanilla or a smidge of cinnamon. What I didn't care for was the texture of the oatmeal, although I sure it is much healthier. Family said the break was "OK", so I'm nut sure I'd make it again."
"Very EASY to make & TASTY!!"
"AMAZING! This bread super good. I used brown sugar and instead of using the 1/3 cup of oil I put half apple sauce and half of the oil. Thank you so much for the recipe :)"
"I picked this recipe b/c of the oatmeal in it. I like that the oatmeal isn't noticeable with the consistency of the bread. The bread isn't "heavy" either. It's not too sweet and not too fattening, which is also a BIG plus. I used 1/2 ww and 1/2 white flour. We all loved it!"
"I have made this recipe several times. I have added a half cup of walnuts which is nice and the recipe doubles beautifully! Thank you for posting it!"
"really yummy. I like the way you can vary it. I added a teaspoon of cinnamon and used brown sugar. Thanks to others who suggested flouring frozen berries and also lemon zest. DELICIOUS :-)"
"I subbed Splenda for the sugar and No Salt instead of regular, because of hubby's health and we were very pleased with the results. The blueberry.banana combo is very tasty!! I will make this again. Thanks, Bliss!"
"What a delicious and easy recipe to make! Definately a keeper! I made it as posted, except I added about a third of a cup of chopped pecans, and made three mini loaves baking them for forty five minutes."
"Really great bread- everyone seemed to enjoy it. Thanks, Bliss!"
"A wonderful, easy bread..I doubled the recipe, made them into mini loaves & got 7. We ate 2 still warm & they were moist & full of blueberries. I really love recipes that are healthy like this. Thanks"
"wonderful bread. simple flavors shine through. i love this recipe."
"I really liked this recipe. The blueberries added an extra touch of flavor to regular banana bread. But, overall, had mixed reviews from others who would rather have regular banana bread, hence the 4 star review. Guess it's just a difference in tastes."
"I made (10) muffins with this recipe and took them to work. Everyone loved them! I used frozen blueberries and substituted melted butter for part of the oil. I also added a tsp each of oat bran, wheat germ, and orange zest. Very moist and tasty! Thanks for the recipe."
