"'Fries' without the frying - wonderful, spicy flavour."

"...great recipe, I just wish my baking sheet hadn't decided to 'warp' during the baking process. This resulted in some of the fries burning, while others were just right. Regardless, the ones we were able to eat were great and we'll be making this again. Thanks Evelyn!"
"this is the recipe i've been using for years, but your spices give it a real kick! i tripled the recipe for 5 of us, very good."
"My DH loved these thanks for sharing"
"This is a great recipe! I used frozen fries that I tossed with the olive oil and seasonings and cooked according to the package directions. Love the touch of oregano! Thanks for sharing."
"Excellent! Only time I've made oven-fries that I really liked. Leaving the skins on and cutting them thin was the trick to making them crispy. Spices were just right. Will make these often! Adding to my review: I made these for a second time and I noticed the fries tend to brown on the bottom side so I turned them over after the first 20 minutes of baking and they crisped more evenly . My DH could not stop eating them!"
"Very good flavor to these fries which makes them even better than if they were fried in oil. For me, the amount of seasonings was perfect. Like others, I combined everything in a zip-top bag to make it easy to mix."
"Also added some red pepper flakes. Tasty!"
"Very good! I love how easy this was to put together. I did as others mentioned, put everything into a ziplock bag and tossed around to mix. I baked it and the whole family devoured the whole pan. There was not a morsel left. They were all disappointed there was nothing leftover for lunch the next day. These are great fries and pretty quick. I will definitely make these again. And I did, for the second time in four days. The first time, the potato slices were thinner and easy to burn. The second time I sliced the potatoes thicker and the results was better. I made 8 potatoes for 2 adults and 2 kids and we ate everything. I cannot believe how much we ate. I've not made any amount that would result in leftovers yet. Thank you."
"Lovely potatoes - I'll probably at least double the amounts of spices next time to suit our tastes. Thanks for posting!"
"I can't believe I haven't rated these before. I have made them so many times, and they always taste great. My oven cooks a little fast, so they are done at about 28 mins, and I usually add red pepper flakes, because I am a spicy food fiend. They are awesome with burgers. Thanks!"
"Fries just the way I like them - I kept the skins on as I like the skins on baked potatoes, fries, chips etc......I used ALL the spices as suggested and they were a subtle blend of flavours. I lined a baking tray with greaseproof paper and they slid right off......made for ZWT3 - thanks Ev! FT:-)"
"I made these to go with some fish, I cut down on the chilli powder as I didn't want them too spicy but otherwise made as directed. I did find that my fries did stick to the pan a bit though so would increase the amount of oil used by a smidge next time. Made for ZWT III."
"Very good Love oven baked fries and I liked the spicyness this went well with Recipe #160925 Thanks EA."
"Made for ZWT 3. served with recipe #230551. tastes were very similar. I may have had too many potatoes, as I had to add a little more olive oil, but kept the spices the same. I really enjoyed these, DH thought they were ok. For a baked fry, these are a great treat."
"These were delicious served with burgers. Perfectly seasoned and easy to prepare. They baked up sort of crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. Very yummy! Made for ZWTIII."
"The flavour combo is delicious, and left a little burning sensation (but a good one!) on your lips/mouth after eating. That said, I find our chili powder very hot so used 1 1/4 tsp instead of 2. I also decreased the oil to just over 1 1/2 tsp wich worked well. YUM!"
"Great way to serve potatoes! I added some garlic to this and microwaved the potatoes a bit to speed up the oven process. Very good, made for ZWT 3!"
"I prepared this recipe for Pick a Chef '06 and I am glad I chose it. This was a delicious recipe. As another reviewer did I also tripled the recipe and my family gobbled them up. Just the right amount of spices. Thanks for posting a recipe I will use again and again. :)"
"Excellent fries, Ev! I served them with oven "fried" fish and cole slaw and we really enjoyed this meal."
