"These flavorful tortillas were used at the bakery for our breakfast burritos, which had scrambled eggs, cheese, salsa, fried potatoes, and sour cream. I also use them to make bean burritos, quesadillas, and as an accompaniment with a bowl of pinto beans."

"AWESOME!!! I eat tortillas almost every single day, often for more than one meal, and I was SO happy to see an easy recipe for healthy wheat ones! My first batch turned out a little crispy, so I tried again and just added less flour (I think the first time I rolled them in too much flour) and they were fine. I'm making quesadillas with them tonight---black bean, spinach and avocado. Thanks troy!!!"
"This was an excellent recipe, and it's convenient to be able to make the dough ahead of time and pull a ball out to make it fresh when I want it. I used whole wheat pastry flour and a commercial whole wheat flour mix instead of regular whole wheat and white."
"Very simple, especially with my stand mixer. My hubby will devour these when he gets home :) He's the Tortilla Monster :) haha"
"I have made these several times and my DD loves them as much as I do. I will be making these for a longgg time!"
"I made these last night and was utterly amazed at how fast, easy and wonderful these were. Never again will I bother to buy tortillas. I will just make them as needed and always have them fresh"
"Super recipe! I have to make a quadruple recipe or the kids eat them as fast as I can make them."
"These were wonderful and so easy to make!! The last attempt with a different recipe didn't go near as well! Only white ones are sold here and they're so expensive! It's great to have a recipe that is simple, tasty, more healthy and so much cheaper!! I followed the recipe exactly. Thanks for the awesome recipe."
"These were amazing, and so easy to make. I was outta the kitchen in 20 minutes, you can't beat that! Thanks so much!"
"These are so good and so easy."
"Really easy tortilla recipe. I used 100% soft white whole wheat flour and added 1 tbls milk . It makes a very nice(easy to roll )dough. Flavorful and tender. I used them for roasted veggie fajitas but the next they were even better for cheese and veggie quesadillas. Thanks for the recipe."
"This recipe is very good.i tried it yesterday and it came out really good. i followed the directions exactly but the water content was a little less. i suggest u add 1 whole cup of water (use the same cup that u measured the flour in). Other than that the recipe was really good. thank you for such a good recipe. Now i don't need to buy tortillas which are very expensive in Lebanon. i can make them fresh at home."
"I was intimidated at the thought of making tortillas at home, but after I put together the ingredients, the dough was "just right"...absolutely easy to work with and roll out. Like another reviewer, I rolled it out too thin initially, which turned it into a hard crisp. Then, when I decided to be precise about the 7", they turned out a lot better and softer. Will make this again, and I have a feeling that my results will get better with practice."
"Ok, I deleted and re-posted my review. After finishing up the entire 8 tortillas they progressed. The first I rolled out too thinly and it wound up crunchy rather than soft and fold-able. The other 7 were great! They were light and fluffy just the way they should be. FYI though, I'd cut back on the salt to 1/2 ts 'cause it's a tad too salty."
"Good recipe for wheat tortillas."
"very flavorful, nice texture and SOO EASYY! my husband who isn't a fan of whole wheat stuff loved them....! :) thanks a lot!"
"Perfect! I've wanted a whole wheat tortilla recipe for years and what luck that I tried this one out first. I won't even look any further. Thanks for posting this recipe. They turned out soft and delicious and were easy to roll thin."
"FABULOUS! Try this recipe, don't go looking any farther! This is about the 5th wheat tortilla recipe I've attempted, and not only was it the easiest to work with, the end result tasted the best. They came out light & thin and just like my favorite restaurant (which has someone hand rolling them by the door). Child approved as well-we served them tonight and my boys ate two giant burritos each."
"Really enjoyed these."
"Thank you so much for posting this Troy - I made these tonite to fill with tacos - not one of my DH's favorite meals, but he said these were the bet tortillas he's ever had and he loved the tacos! A miracle! I made them exactly as listed and although I'll have to practice getting them more rounded, they were delicious and much healthier and cheaper than the store bought."
"The trick is to make sure you roll these thin, almost paper thin and have the pan at 450 - 475 (used my lefse griddle and lefse rolling pin) also don't use too much flour and dust off before frying. I substituted freshly ground cumin instead of salt and for something different used tomato juice instead of water. I also put in ground flax to make these healthier."
