"A simple and tasty side dish when fresh green beans are plentiful. Prep time doesn't include time to prep the beans before steaming."

"Before this recipe, I would have told you I didn't like green beans. But I had never tried them steamed before. I liked these so much I ate all my green beans first!! LOL! I steamed them for 18 minutes. First, I drizzled the teaspoon of EVOO on them and tossed to coat. I then sprinkled about a teaspoon of brown sugar over them and some pepper, again tossing to coat. I learned the brown sugar trick from a restaurant chef and it is incredible. I know I'll be making these again!"
"So simple and delicious. I used frozen green beans and steamed them in a steamer basket for about 10 minutes then tossed with butter, seasoned with the salt and pepper. Made for PAC Spring 2012."
"I steamed the beans in a glad steam bag and then added the other ingredients. We all enjoyed these."
"Loved this recipe!!!"
"My family and i love fresh vegetables of all kinds, especially fresh green beans, everyone really liked this recipe, i just trimmed the green beans and kept them long, otherwise followed the rest of recipe exactly, i used your dutch oven idea with a steam basket inside it, it couldn't have been easier, thank you for a recipe i will use over and over."
"I made these tonight for dh & I :) They were really good, and easy. I agree that a little less butter can be used. Thanks for sharing!"
"oh these were yummy! Simply done, but superb fresh flavor. I think I could have gotten away with a little less butter on ours, although I'm not sure if I used the full amount of beans. I also did not need to cook them as long, so for future reference I will start watching them much sooner."
"Lovely fresh flavour green beans!!Simple and quick and very tasty, thanks for sharing, we will make these again!!"
