"You can't have a Bandera without Sangrita! BTW, Sangrita would be more litteraly translated as "little blood". What is a bandera? It's how a lot of us in Mexico ask for our Tequila of choice. Bandera means flag. Mexico's flag is Green, White and Red... You are served a shot glass of criollo-lime juice, a shot glass of you favorite Tequila Blanco, and a shot glass of — you guessed it — Sangrita! It's the perfect chaser trio..."
"Well, I had regular Minute Maid orange juice on hand and also part of a bottle of tomato juice. So I used 3 cups of tomato juice plus 2 tomatoes and 1-1/2 cups orange juice. Since I only had one LARGE white onion, I only used 1/4 of it. It's hot and I've been relentlessly thirsty and found this very refreshing. It was also very spicy, thanks to the cayenne (actually I reduced the cayenne a little and added a dash of Tropical Pepper Co. Hot & Sweet Sauce), and a bit tangy thanks to the citrus. And did I add the tequila? You bet! All in all, a very nice thing to do to tomatoes."
