"Very good and simple recipe, I added a can of red kidney beans to make it more filling. Turned out real good. Will make this one again."
"Excellent! I added mushrooms, a little extra water, and used fettuchini noodles in place of the egg noodles."
"Comfort food at it's best! I too used lean ground sausage and added green pepper. Delish!"
"I made this and thought of the kidney beans as well as the corn but I also added my own twist and sauted sliced mushrooms. I added alot of them as well. I aslo added extra water but this was great and thanks for the recipe"
"It is a great recipe. But, adding a can of corn and keeping a little of the fat makes it perfect! I just cannot get enough of this."
"I subbed 1lb ground lean sausage for the beef, subbed 1/2 green pepper for the celery, doubled the water (or more), added 1/2 canned corn, used 2 cups dry elbow macaronis instead of noodles, subbed 1 can diced tomatoes for the others. Delicious! My kids ate it up."
"This is good. Add a can of corn..even better and I use macaroni. When it's done put some shredded cheddar cheese over it and melt the cheese...then serve...mmmmmm"
"Very easy dish to make but it does need a little more flavor added. I agree John Nichols and added the red kidney bean. I also added a little sour cream. Very easy recipe to tweak..."
"A nice meal that's easy to put together and easy to build on. I added some more seasonings and a few shredded carrots. I cooked the noodles separately and mixed it all together at the end. Thanks for posting!"
"Very tasty. Based on experience with a similar recipe I just about doubled the water. It's hard to measure noodles in a measuring cup...I used the guide of 1.5 cups = 4 oz. dry pasta."
"I would give this 4 1/2 stars if I could. I doubled the recipe for a crowd, and used one can of tomatoes and one can of tomato sauce. I also added a generous shaking of paprika and some extra seasonings. Iliked it because it was simple and quick to make, plus low in calories. It didn't need any additional tweaking."
"Wonderful...makes lots, at least for 2.....delicious and easy! Thank you for a fast, reasonalble, and yummy recipe!"
"I love this method of cooking spaghetti, especially in the summer. I grew up with goulash with meat, but now as a vegetarian, I still crave a similar dish. So I omitted the meat, and found that I like it much better without the marjoram. (I am guessing that compliments the ground beef.) I also had to add extra water often as I may have used more noodles than called for. It was still excellent, and perfect for the hot summertime when I don't want to turn on the oven. I will try the beans next time too! Thanks for the recipe I have been looking for!"
"This is delicious! So much flavor!! I used extra lean ground beef (93%, so no need to drain), a 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes...Since I did not have any onions, I substituted them with 1.5 tablespoons of dehydrated onion (which is equivalent to a medium onion) I used rotini noodles, and cooked them separately to cut the time. I still, however, used 1/2 cup of water in the dish. I only used 3/4 teaspoon of salt, and oregano instead of specifically marjoram (they are basically the same.) Well, it looks like I changed a lot! (maybe I did!) But it was great! It was ready to eat in no time at all. Thanks for sharing!"
"Easy to prepare and cook and oooh sooo good!!!"
