"An unusual garlic bread. This one uses mayonnaise. Try it, you'll like it! (really)"
Serving Size: 1 (158 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 12
"I always use this recipe for my garlic bread. I don't always use the herbs...in that instance, I reduce the amounts of the other ingredients, especially the mayo. I have added an sprinkling of Italian or pizza blend cheese on top, also. This is a no-fail recipe. Everyon always likes it. Be careful to watch it under the broiler, though. It can burn very quickly!"
"Very good! Thought the mayo was kinda wierd, but it really tasted good! Great recipe!"
"Evelyn, you never disappoint. I made exactly as directed. This was fantastic and I will certainly be making it again!"
"awesome.. would have never thought of mayo with this.. incredible"
"Simply DELICIOUS!! I also used french bread. Yet, it tastes wonderful!! Thank you for sharing this recipe."
"This is fabulous!! I thought I'd give it a try because I had leftover French bread and it was a huge hit! I prepared it exactly as described except I used a loaf of French bread split open instead of sourdough. My husband said it was the best garlic bread he'd ever had and I have to agree with him!"
"This was very good! I shredded some mozzerella and Cheddar cheese and put this on top after letting the bread toast up a tad...Great with just a salad and soup!"
"I don't know, maybe it was using low fat mayo that did it...but this came out terribly. The texture of the topping was a bit soupy, and of course unnaturally white for garlic bread. I could see that the proportion of garlic to the rest of the ingredients was low, so I doubled the garlic, but I think I should have halved the mayo. My oldest son's reaction was: What does this taste like [pause]... it almost tastes like you put mayo on instead of garlic."
"Wow this was so good. I served it to our small group with some marinara sauce. People couldn't get enough of it. Everyone kept grabbing another piece. I had extra hamburger buns and used that instead of the sourdough and it tasted awesome. MMM this is so good."
"this is by far the most amazing garlic bread i've ever tasted. bf begs for this with everything. thank you!"
"Wow! Great dinner-spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread. Oh, and a beautiful Italian Merlot. This bread was fabulous! Easy and quick to make. Thank you for rounding out such an enjoyable dinner."
"I loved the taste of this special garlic toast! I served it with shrimp scampi over angel hair pasta and a green salad. This is definitely a keeper. Thanks!"
"This was so good, different from any other I had tried. A little bit goes a long way with this. We really liked it! Can't wait to try it for company! Thanx for posting!"
"We reduced the mayo and spread it on submarine rolls (all we had). Was enjoyed by all!"
"This was so easy to whip up. I don't really care for mayo so I only used a little bit of it. It turned out great!"
"My DH was the only one who loved this. The herbs were fantastic, but the mayonnaise taste was too profound for my DS's and myself, and it overall made it too rich for our tastes."
"OH MY GOSH! Vampires beware! This bread will forever be the only bread that we make again!!"
"Delish! I didn't use the sourdough, instead I cut the sides, bottom and top off of a bread machine loaf and slathered the mayo mixture onto those. (made croutons out of the rest of the bread) My family loved this bread so I'll be making it again. Thank you Ev for this great recipe :)"
