"A chef made this at a cooking class in the upstairs room at the supermarket in town. When I looked over the recipe, I thought "I'm not going to like this". When I watched the prep & the end result, I thought "I'm not going to like this". She served it over a combination of white & brown rice with a side salad. Was I ever wrong. I liked it very much & I will be making it for my DH very soon!"

"Good meal for my dieting hubby. We liked it a lot, next time I'd add more chili powder and perhaps some cayenne. It was a little bland for me, but I think that was the point. I put some fat free cheddar on top, that was a bad idea. Fat free cheddar is horrible! Next time I'll use the real thing."
"this is a nice chili recipe, light on heat so it is good for kids. the turkey lightens it up calorie wise as well. makes a nice casual dinner ."
"when I make this for my 2 and 1/2 year old grand-daughter she cleans her plate, I have found I can even add her veges in to it and she doesn't care like her carrots I use carrots matchsticks. She thinks its more cheese I suppose. but she eats every bite, and on occasion has come back and asked for more, please..thanks for sharing."
"Double the chili powder, add 2 tbs cumin and dried oregano, double the lime juice and then you are talking. I added seasoned salt too. Great base, but lacks the flavor punch we like. Make it and doctor it!"
"Excellent! I only used one can of tomatoes , added extra garlic, a bit of cumin and one thai chili for extra heat. Reminds me of Wendy's chili.Easy and so quick"
"This flavor of this chili was nice and bright. To me, it didn't taste like classic chili. I ended up adding oregano, more chili powder, cumin, bell pepper, beer and crushed red pepper. I loved the consistency of the crushed tomatoes. I think this would be a good recipe for kids, but not for people who like spicy chili. Thanks for posting the recipe."
"Easy to make & so tasty! It's easy to customize if you want to make it spicier - I took the advice of others and added extra garlic and chili powder as well as chili pepper flakes, cumin and cayenne pepper. I also added mushrooms, green pepper, celery, and elbow macaroni. Definitely will make it again."
"Loved this! So quick, easy, and delicious! I was attempting to follow the recipe as-is, but realized as I was making it that I had run out of chili powder, so I substituted a concoction of 1/2 tsp of habanero powder, 1/2 tsp of chipotle powder, and 1/2 tsp of cajun seasoning. I also didn't have a can of green chilies, so I diced up 2 fresh jabanero peppers. And it came out AMAZING! I'll be making this a lot."
"Great chili, it has just jumped into my cookbook. Perfect just as written."
"I added elbow macaroni for chili mac and it turned out great . I also added more garlic, 1/2 bell pepper, more chili powder, some ground cayenne, seasoning salt. I used only one can of tomatoes since I like my chili a bit on the thicker side. I also used kidney instead of black beans. A HELPFUL HINT, from KittenCal, let sit overnight for the flavors to really soak through. Only mildly spicy, even the 2 year old at the party had some! Very easy dish to make!"
"So easy and so good! I pretty much followed the recipe with a couple of additions: when I sauteed the meat, onion, and garlic, I also added 1/2 of a bell pepper. I also added 2 teaspoons of cumin and a dash of crushed red pepper with the chili powder and salt. We served this with fritos and cheddar cheese. My kids loved it and husband loved it, too."
"I loved this - perfect for battling the sub-zero temperatures! I added a red bell pepper and a couple of serranos in place of the canned chilies. This is my new favorite chili! Thanks for a great recipe"
"Added diced green bell pepper + a little extra hot sauce. Next time put in a little celery or maybe canned corn. Not bad."
"This was FANTASTIC. I've made this several times already and it is always a hit. Thank you for such a great and EASY recipe. :)"
"I enjoyed this. It was quick and easy. It reminded me of the chili my father used to make."
"Good chili! We do NOT normally eat our chili with beans but are trying to eat healthier! I was shocked that dh actually ate it! It was rather tomatoey for us and we do like lots of spice so it was not hot enough- that is personal preferance. We just added some cayenne to our bowls to adjust. Next time I think we will try this with one can of tomatoes. Thanks for sharing the recipe!"
"I'm looking foward to left overs for lunch! This is relativly easy chili to make, and it's quicker than most. Instead of using canned chilies, I choped whole chili pepers (2 oz. instead of 4oz.). Also, I forgot to add the green onions (would have been good), but I did top with a couple of avacado slices."
"We enjoyed this chili. I used ground beef and left out the chilies. Our 8 year old and 5 year old loved it. We pourd it over fritos and topped with cheese and I added some avocado to mine while DH liked sour cream. This was an easy chili to make and I usually have these ingredients on hand wich makes it a great addition to my recipe collection. Thanks for posting this."
"Great recipe! I made this for my bean-loving DS and added in chili flakes (lots of chili flakes!) increased the garlic to 2 tablespoons and add in some grated cheddar cheese, I strongly suggest to this a day ahead to allow flavors to blend;-) thanks for sharing this great recipe Marg!...Kitten:)"
