"I love the flavors in this pasta salad with the addition of the lemon, shrimp and Old Bay Seasoning! I often substitute whole wheat pasta in this dish... I also double the mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning and lemon, adding half when I initially make it, then just before serving I add some more, so it isn't dry after sitting in the fridge for flavors to meld... Sometimes I just double up on the shrimp or the crabmeat instead of using both together... Either way, this recipe is a KEEPER for sure!"

"This is delicious! Thanks for sharing. I used shrimp, bay scallops, and some fake crabmeat. Also added a cup or so of diced cucumber, which complimented the other flavors. Thanks again!"
"I'm writing to say thank you for a recipe that I prepare once a month or so. Everyone I serve it too loves it. I use "snow legs" in the making and I don't skimp. I like to add dried dill and a few dashes of cayenne. Delicious."
"I used spiral pasta, forgot the peas and substituted garlic and herb Old bay for the regular flavor. Also had to use canned crab and added the zest from the lemon as well as the juice. Considering all the changes made, I started wondering what the original recipe tastes like! What I made is indeed delicious, but I am really missing the peas. Thanks for the recipe, the pasta to sauce proportion is perfect!"
"I made this....well almost exactly as written. I used imitation crabmeat (12oz) along with a well drained can of tuna. That's the only seafood I had on hand. Subbed some finely diced green pepper for the peas. I know the taste is totally different, but my family doesn't like peas. Every thing else I kept the same. I doubled the dressing ingredients, because pasta is notorious for soaking up any dressing, and it came out yummy. Will surely make again. It's worth the 5 stars, even with my changes, because of the dressing, which is the primary ingredient that makes the whole dish, IMO."
"I made this with your rib recipe Linda... This salad was to die for! I used fresh crab and shrimp and did as you said and doubled up on the mayo etc. It turned out so flavorful and yummy! I had an empty bowl left to bring home, so it was a hit will all of us!"
"Made this last weekend for our annual family croquet tourney, it was a hit. I put some of our local Hood Canal shrimp and crab in it. The only thing I changed, as someone mentioned I added a bit of cajun seasoning and some hard boiled eggs. Many compliments and so yummy, this is a keeper and quite easy to make."
"This is such a hit at our barbeques. I used the imitation crab and it was just fine. I found imitation lobster and put 1/2 that along with 1/2 imitation crab. I also added a extra mayo as the pasta absorbs it and just added a teeny bit extra of the other ingredients.
Everyone absolutely loves it! We will be making it every summer for sure. Thanks!"
"Very good! I was looking for something different from my traditional recipe. I used 16 oz immitation crab meat as that was all the "seafood" I had and subbed miracle whip for the mayo. Excellent recipe. I just may add a little more dressing next time, as pasta generally absorbs. Will definately make again.. and again..."
"left out the shrimp and doubled the crab....great taste, I used low fat miracle whip and the new Barilla whole wheat pasta...very good"
"Simple to make and a hit at the pool party! When i first made it i thought it was too spicy. I refrigerated for a few hours to let the flavors meld together and it turned out perfect."
"My husband really liked this...I didn't like it as much as I thought i would...I think it was the crab I used though...it was a plastic container of cheap crab meat so I am going to try this again with better crab and then update. Thanks for sharing Linda!"
"This dish is so good. SO much better than in the stores! Thanks!"
"Ok, I absolutely LOVED this! I used the full amount of Old Bay, and subbed green onion for regular onion (don't like it), and I used fake crab. It was fantastic, and I will definitely be making this again. I don't think the parsley is doing much for me, so I will probably leave that out next time. Thanks for sharing!"
"If you want to try something different for your summertime salad this is a great one to make! I added a dash or two of cajun seasoning, just because I like it so much and it adds so much flavor. Went great with the other flavors in the salad! Thank you for sharing!"
"this was great I only used crabmeat as I did not have any shrimp to add in at the time of making this next time I will add in some cooked chopped Black Tiger shrimp and reduce the Old Bay seasoning as I found 2 teaspoons to be slightly over powering for my taste I also added in 1 teaspoon garlic powder, thanks Linda!"
"I am updating this review as I have made this several times now and it always gets rave reviews and compliments galore! Most recently made it for my labor day family outing and it was eaten until the bowl was empty! Glad I got me some before it was gone! Thanks Linda! Cindy"
"Some of us enjoyed this. I think some didn't like the Old Bay seasoning. I did and thought it was great. Had to leave out the peas as most of my family hates them. Would make again if I needed a salad. I did use the fake crab as that is what I had on hand."
"LOVE this recipe. I couldn't find Old Bay Seasoning (not sure if they sell it in Canada) so I had to improvise on the spices but I still loved it. I'm going to Buffalo in a few weeks so I'll grab the spice while there and make it that way. It a surprisingly light dish that is great for lunch. Thanks for the great recipe!"
"Excellent just the way it is! Once you have the pasta cooked it's fast to toss together and get ready to chill. My kids and I put a good dent in the bowl. We had along with some crab cakes and it was such a good combination. This is a winner here! Can't wait to make it for one of our BBQ's this summer! Karen"
"I love pasta and shrimp and crab, so I was very excited to try this dish. However, it was WAY too fishy tasting for my preferences and I couldn't eat it. But for people who like a good fish taste, they will really like this pasta salad. Thanks for sharing!"
