"My husband and I enjoy fresh grilled Tuna. I know what some of you may be thinking -- UGH -- Tuna like from a can -- gross -- that was my first thought when I heard the words Tuna. This is different though. This has an excellent flavor. just like grilled steak."
Serving Size: 1 (132 g)
Servings Per Recipe: 4
"REALLY? How could something so basic be so good? I made this tonight and was blown away by how good it was. I didn't have lime so I used all lemon, other than that, no changes. I seared the tuna on the hot side of a gas grill, then moved it to indirect heat to finish it up. I cooked it rare and it was delicious."
"This was absolutely wonderful tuna. We used YellowFin Tuna Steaks, (I don't recommend Albacore) and I couldn't believe how good they were. If I didn't know I was eating tuna, I'd swear it was steak. I do believe like some of the reviews that it was a bit salty, but I think it was because the Old Bay may have been a bit older than normal shelf-life. I will tell anyone who wants to enjoy a really good tuna, don't overcook it. It needs to be dark pink inside for it to be tender & flavorful. Thanks for posting!!!"
"Excellent! I pan seared mine in a little butter (and cast iron) and cooked until they were just pink through the middle half."
"This was my first time ever having tuna that didnt come from a can so I wasent quite sure what to expect. It tasted really good, and as a previous reviewer stated, I only used three teaspoons of Old Bay. The other members of my family thought it was just right but I sprinkled on a little more. I think I made a mistake tho, marinating the fish in the refrigerator instead of on the counter. I grilled it to what I thought would be the desired doneness and sampled it but it was still cold in the middle. I kept on cooking it on the cooler side of the grill hoping it would warm up but not overcook, yet it still became dry. Tuna appears to be really easy to overcook. I was still happy with it tho and plan on trying again! I served this with sauteed zucchini and a baked potato. Thank you for sharing!"
"Very good tuna. I served it with a basil vinaigrette, potatoes, and salad. Do be careful of the marinating time. Mine started to cook."
"This is awesome!! I tried this tonight and this is my first review. Kimmie, the ingredients worked perfectly together. I did use half the Old Bay but I think next time I will try 3 teaspoons. I loved this and it is easy!"
"Very tasty. Thank you for posting."
"Absolutely the best tuna recipe I've tried! The flavors don't overpower the tuna, just enhance it. Made just as posted, which is rare for me. Now let me tell you about the leftovers!!! After shredding what was left, I turned it into the most heavenly tuna salad I've ever had. I'm planning on making an extra steak from now on. Thank you for posting Kimmie."
"I made this for dinner Friday night and was amazed at how good it was. I also pan seared it. I cooked it about 11 min. I think that was too long though. Can't wait till warmer weather to try grilling it. Thanks for a great recipe!"
"I just realized I never reviewed this one! This is def a keeper, I cut back on the Old Bay a bit fearing it might be a bit too salty. Otherwise, great flavor and so quick to put together, thanks for sharing!"
"Very good -- would have been even better if I were a more experienced griller (mine was a tad overdone)! I think I will grill this on those days when I make freshly squeezed lemon/limeade since it does not take very much juice. I'm not much of a seafood fan, so I'm always excited to find something that I do like! Thank you! :)"
"This was so good. I highly recommend it. YUMMY!"
"I followed this recipe to a tee, but it was way too salty for me. Sorry."
"Loved this recipe. The Tuna was the BEST thing I ever ate :-)"
"Husband and kids say PHENOMINAL! Marinaded the tuna for 30 to 45 minutes.... then grilled it! Cooked a little more than rare so it had a great texture! My dear daughter wants to have it again for dinner tomorrow night and she is not the fish eater in our family! Really enjoyed dinner tonight- Thanks for a great recipe!"
"Absolutely perfect; wouldn't change a thing. This is how I remember trying tuna steak in the restaurant for the the first time. Thank you for sharing!"
"Pretty good! Not fishy at all. This was my first time with a tuna steak and it won't be my last. Thanks for a simple recipe that helped me broaden my cooking horizons!"
"This recipe is my favorite marinade for fish. I use it for tuna, salmon and orange roughy."
"Delicious! I just got done cooking this bad boy on the grill and I can safely say this was a restaurant quality meal. I paired it with a Caesar salad and some penne pasta with a citrus herb cream sauce. My date thoroughly enjoyed it! Top marks!"
